The authorities in charge of managing our Andean basins work in unimaginable water-powered landscapes from the Peruvian legislator point of view. They should generate and apply peculiar mechanisms. Why? Because the national legislator is traditionally positioned on the coast, a region very different to the Andean highlands and punas. The use of ethnographic evidence coming from a drainage basin in the Central Andes (Mantaro River, Junin) lets me depict in detail how public officers appeal to mechanisms of location, adaptation and regulation in order to adjust the official regulations, to cover the needs of the farming organizations of watering, and to affirm their positions as representatives of the Peruvian government. Objective: To determine the association between frailty syndrome and family functioning among older adults with diabetic retinopathy. Materials and methods: An analytical and cross-sectional study conducted among patients diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy. The ophthalmology department diagnosed diabetic retinopathy through pupil dilation, using tetracaine and an ophthalmoscope. Three groups were determined using the FRAIL questionnaire: frail, prefrail and nonfrail; the sample sizes were 39, 64 and 76, respectively, matched by age. The study variables included age, sex, education, marital status and occupation. Additionally, the time since the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy was measured. El objetivo fue determinar los factores que han influido en el trabajo del Comité de Control Interno. La metodología se basó en un diseño descriptivo y no experimental, con una población de 8 miembros del comité, a quienes se aplicó cuestionario para la obtención de resultados. Los resultados señalan que existe alto nivel de decisiones estratégicas respecto a los miembros del comité, al tomarlas dentro de su labor, como en otro ámbito. In summary, it evaluates European companies listed on the stock exchange in France, Germany and the United Kingdom to determine how risk management systems influence financial companies' performance. El presente trabajo analiza la evolución de los requerimientos de capital a los bancos en la legislación bancaria nacional, su relación con la salvaguarda de los recursos del público confiados a la banca y los efectos de los nuevos estándares propuestos en los Acuerdos de Basilea con relación a esta materia. Primero describimos como se ha concebido la función del capital social de los bancos. La base de esta descripción es la Ley de Bancos 7159, de 1931, que además de asignar al capital las funciones tradicionales del derecho societario, le atribuía una función de garantía para los depositantes y terceros acreedores. The aim of the present study was to observe if there are differences in the level of the burnout dimensions between teachers who have experienced symptoms or health problems in the last year and those who have not in a sample of 223 teachers working in educational institutions (elementary school level). Participants completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) in its teachers’ version, and a sociodemographic survey. A two –independent t test was carried out in order to see if both groups of teachers differed significantly in the values obtained for the MBI dimensions (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and lack of personal accomplishment). Addressing school climate and violence in schools requires school management skills. The 2011 School Violence Act in Chile promulgated the mandatory creation of the school climate coordinator (SCC). However, the law did not establish a defined profile, specific functions, or working hours for the SCC, and only recently have school administrators given SCCs more time for this position. This has created a flexible operating framework for the position, which could have implications in terms of the labor identity of the SCCs. This exploratory study employed a qualitative case study.
