In this article a proposal is presented for a theoretical framework that could provide the structure and coherence needed for the development of effective LMOOCs (Language MOOCs) and MALL (Mobile Assisted Language Learning) apps in a systematic way that would facilitate online second language learning. The framework is argued to be appropriate for language teaching and learning since it could be used for the elaboration of online courses such as LMOOCs and syllabi and didactic materials for MALL apps, regardless of the number of students. They have great power over the distribution of information to their users, and over the organizations and individuals that produce it. Wisdom is analyzed in terms of the Greek sceptic tradition. Crucial for wisdom is the acknowledgment of the inability to acquire infallible knowledge and the acceptance to act upon the world on the basis of that same fallible knowledge. This fallibilism is based on the notion of the plausible. Al evaluar el papel que el mito cumple en el pensamiento griego antiguo, se debe distinguir, o al menos así se argumenta, el tipo de razón con la que se lo contrasta. En efecto, su función se altera cuando la razón es considerada monolíticamente o, como suele suceder en Aristóteles, cuando opera de dos modos: de modo práctico o de modo teórico. This article discusses the historical significance of a leaflet printed around 1713 by the Society of Jesus to promote the mission of Mojos, located in the northeast of present-day Bolivia. Although historians generally refer to this document as «the map of the Mojos mission», this study argues that the 1713 pamphlet is much more than a map, and can be understood as the equivalent of a typical Jesuit missionary chronicle. This is of great relevance, since the Society of Jesus always marked the consolidation of its numerous missions in the Americas with the publication of a magnum opus to publicize its evangelical efforts. El presente informe jurídico analiza la Resolución N.º 2971-2023/SPCINDECOPI, mediante la cual se declaró nula una cláusula penal contenida en un contrato de compraventa inmobiliaria sobre bien futuro, suscrito entre los consumidores Santa Cruz–Solano y la empresa Viva Premium S.A.C. La controversia gira en torno a si dicha cláusula, predispuesta en un contrato de adhesión, resulta abusiva por establecer la pérdida de los montos abonados ante el incumplimiento de tres cuotas consecutivas. La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general determinar si la independencia, imparcialidad y/o neutralidad de los jueces constitucionales del Poder Judicial se vulnera cuando conocen amparos en los que existen integrantes o ex integrantes de la JNJ como parte. Ello considerando que esta entidad, en el ordenamiento jurídico peruano, entre sus competencias constitucionales, tiene a su cargo la ratificación de los jueces del Poder Judicial y detenta una relativa potestad disciplinaria sobre los mismos. Has the theory of direct reference for general terms ontological consequences or requirements? It has normally been said that general terms should be conceived as rigid designators of “natural classes”, but this is a very vague expression. What is a “natural class” here? Is it a universal? Is it a class of resembling objects or tropes? It is argued that the theory of direct reference functions better in connection with an ontology of universals. The semantic model actually requires certain type of successful cognitive relation with the referent and it is difficult to explain how such a successful connection could be obtained if there are no universal properties, but only perfect resemblance classes of objects or tropes.

Despite its importance, this feature has not received the attention it deserves. The dominant valuation perspective is anthropocentric, which turns to behave as a conditionality that subordinates ecological imperatives and is functional to economic growth. Radical different perspectives are South American Andean-Amazonian alternatives based on a biocentric posture that recognizes intrinsic values in nature. Ecuador offers a case study of that perspective. It is argued that it represents a more powerful option because is an alternative beyond any variety of development.

This paper is an essay in the economy of ideas. It analyzes how informal institutions affect the enforcement of key market institutions. It argues that legal traditions, political institutions, and administrative arrangements affect the mental models that people employ to interpret the world of transactions around them. These models in turn are a key to individual choices that affect economic performance. After presenting the existing literature on this topic, the paper presents examples taken from enforcement, collateral and property institutions from Bolivia, Mexico and Peru. It concludes arguing that if reform is sought, these mental models should also be taken into account, alongside the current functional and rational choice approaches of recent literature.

¿Hay consecuencias o requerimientos ontológicos que puedan desprenderse de la teoría de la referencia directa? Se ha dicho frecuentemente que los términos generales deben ser concebidos como designadores rígidos de clases naturales”, pero esta es una expresión demasiado vaga. ¿Qué es aquí una clasenatural”? ¿Es un universal? ¿Una clase de objetos o tropos semejantes entre sí? Se argumenta que la teoría de la referencia directa funciona mejor en conexión con una ontología de universales. El modelo semántico, en efecto, requiere cierto tipo de relación cognitiva exitosa con el referente, y es difícil explicar cómo podría darse esa conexión exitosa si no hay propiedades universales, sino solo clases de objetos o tropos perfectamente semejantes.
