Virtual assistants are used to complement user navigation and experience through e-commerce platforms and online services. Several studies show that customer experience is significantly improved when virtual assistants exhibit human-like attention and provide personalized recommendations tailored to individual preferences and needs. To achieve this, the assistant can make use of Natural Language Processing, which enables understanding of human language along with responses. This study develops a virtual assistant focused on conversational AI which is implemented in a poultry retail’s website to improve customer experience. To validate the benefits of the implementation, we collected feedback from a group of 58 customers in the city of Lima that interacted with the virtual assistant. In this way, results showed that the virtual assistant generated a positive impact on customer service w...

Edible films for packaging and plastic material replacement purposes are produced based on biodegradable raw materials such as polysaccharides and agents with biological properties, making the final product an alternative for the protection and extension of the shelf life of foods. The main objective of the present research was to evaluate the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of chitosan biofilms functionalized with muña essential oil. For this purpose, 12 edible films were formulated with 3 concentrations of chitosan (1, 2 and 3%) and 3 of essential oil (0.5, 2 and 5%) including chitosan-only blanks. The antioxidant activity evaluated in biofilms with a higher content of muña essential oil presents more than 60% of DPPH free radical uptake, while in the antimicrobial activity evaluated by petri dishes grown with Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli...

This article develops an analysis of the process of institutionalisation of Linguistics in higher education in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina, during the period 1983-2016. We study the teaching function (institutional programmes and minimum contents such as the subjects Discourse Analysis and Production and Academic Literacy) and the research function (history of the agents and of a project based at the National University of Southern Patagonia), in whose analysis we question the trajectories and links between different agents in order to think about their impact on the consolidation of Linguistics in the periphery of Santa Cruz and at national level. To do so, we appeal to theoretical and methodological tools from the fields of glotopolitics (Narvaja de Arnoux, 2016; Del Valle, 2016), institutionalisation (Gerbaudo, 2014; Sapiro, 2013) and discourse analysis from a materialist pe...

The paper proposes the functions for two new agents in collaboration e-business, since we know that collaborative processes are growing up and we have a large way to work on researches about e-business. The start point is after we identify collaboration among people, processes and systems, we believe that each important process of the organization during its daily routine has two elements like context and content joined to the process. Then, we can understand those processes are important when you look at them as a result for another one and it can resolve a specific problem. We want to get the ability to collaborate and leverage the knowledge. We have been based the analysis on the intangibles assets joined with the technology in order to build a design to understand the collaborative e-business processes. We present the results of the process and collaboration that already exist betwee...

Spermidine is a polyamine compound found in fruits, vegetables, meats and milk products. It is also known for its role as a modulator of functions for DNA, RNA, nucleotide triphosphates and proteins. Some recent experimental studies have shown that it has an inhibitory function on the protein related to the pathogenesis of myotonic dystrophy type 1 (MBNL‐1), providing some hope in relation to this disease presently without cure. However these studies have not provided sufficient information to explain its inhibitory role. In the present work, the existing interaction between spermidine and the MBNL‐1 protein has been confirmed by computational chemistry. The quantum mechanics analysis was carried out with the CAM‐B3LYP density functional, using a TZVP basis set. For the molecular mechanics, the OPLS‐AA force field was used, followed immediately by the solvation of the MBNL‐1 pr...

Implant-supported restorations have shown remarkable progress in recent years and have demonstrated high sur vival rates of up to 95% with well-documented functional and esthetic results [1, 2]. Classically, implant-supported restorations can be cement-retained or screw-retained. Al though both methods have potential uses, the ideal option has yet to be established, and the selection depends on retrievability and esthetic factors [3]. Depending on the retention method, the success of the implant rehabilitation is not free of complications and re quires dynamic equilibrium between implant osseointe gration and technical and biological factors. However, based on current findings, the main complications of dental im plants are produced by biological factors [4, 5]. Maintaining the stability of bipedal walking remains a major challenge in humanoid robotics, primarily due to the large number of hyperparameters involved and the need to adapt to dynamic environments and external disturbances. Traditional methods for determining these hyperparameters, such as heuristic approaches, are often time- consuming and potentially suboptimal. In this thesis, we present an integrated approach combining advanced control and reinforcement learning techniques to improve the stability of bipedal walking, particularly in the face of ground disturbances and speed variations. Our main contribution lies in the integration of two complementary approaches: (1) an intrinsically stable model predictive control (IS-MPC) combined with whole-body admittance control, and (2) a reinforcement learning module implemented in the mc_rtc framework. This system allows for continuous mo...

The films can be obtained from renewable resources such as polysaccharides, proteins, and lipids. Potato starch is a polysaccharide found in abundance, low cost, biodegradable, edible, and can be obtained from agro-industrial waste. In the present study, biodegradable films were obtained from potato starch mixed with montmorillonite nanoclay (MMT) as crosslinking agent and glycerin as a plasticizer; and thus characterize properties such as: permeability to water vapor, solubility, thickness, functional groups by FTIR, analysis of the morphology by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and mechanical properties. 9 mixtures combining different proportions of glycerol (1, 1.5 and 2 ml) with montmorillonite nanoclay (MMT) (0, 0.03 and 0.05 g) were prepared.

The objective of this article is to offer those responsible for the Peruvian health rectorship reflections on sectoral policy derived from the study of the country’s National Health Accounts (1995-2014). While it is true that the country has increased its spending on health from 4.4 to 5.2% of GDP, 33% of its total funding comes from household «out of pocket expense», which indicates that change is necessary. Problems in the responsiveness of the health system to greater funding and public expenditure, linked to issues of rectorship and service organization, are apparent.Although there has been an increase in numbers of people with insurance, the restrictions on what is covered prevent the great majority of these people accessing health services. The most important change in the public administration of expenditure has been decentralization, while in the private administration it has...

Incomes that are received by economic agents by means of selling part of their stocks in commodities, raw materials and production factors may be kept inside the domestic economic system or allowed to get away from it. The present article will show how in a system that is built over some definite decreasing (or at least non increasing) marginal productivity production functions, exogenous stimulus that might generate some demanding on final consumption goods, altogether with the consideration of a limit in household monetary spending in domestic final products, conduct to the shaping of one certain mathematical expression that is to connect gross domestic value with the above mentioned stimulus. In a second stage, diverse applications and extensions of the model are performed, in order to discuss some interesting subjects in economic theory.
