The construct validity of six hypothesized dimensions was explored for an Accountancy majorgraduation examination, in order to understand the underlying process of responding. Using answers from 313 examinees to an intentional sample of 17 objective items administered on large scale, a confirmatory factorial analysis was carried out, with a Multi-Trait Multi-Method matrix (MTMM): Traits represented three cognitive operations required to solve the items and the methods represented three knowledge fields of the content. Each item was linked to a cog- nitive operation and to a knowledge field. The resulting model showed convergent validity in two constructs and its manifest variables and divergent only between technical and combined knowledge. Thus, the answering process was explained, simultaneously by the Understanding operation influenced by Theoretical knowledge. Implications to...

Today it is difficult for an SME to apply the Quality Models and proposed tests such as CMMI, TMMi,, TMap, IEEE Standard referring to the process of V & V, this primarily by: 1) the degree of complexity,; 2) cost constraints that SMEs do not have enough money to hire market specialists that can provide the directives they need or 3) simply because of the ignorance that exists about the benefits obtained. The present research has as main objective to develop a methodological framework Process Verification and Validation adjusted for socioeconomic reality of SME. The framework was applied to the project Inventory Control System of the Company QBOSS SAC, the initial situation of the company was analyzed, then the methodological framework developed was applied, and finally the results were positive for the organization.

Quality Risk Management (QRM) in the pharmaceutical industry and especially in the manufacture of sterile products is of vital importance for its impact on health. The objective of this work is, to design and jointly apply risk management matrices to validate the aseptic process of injectable solutions. For the design of the Simulated Aseptic Process (APS) the following risk matrices were developed: Risk matrix for the determination of the worst case; Time matrix of the simulated aseptic process; Risk Matrix of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA); Risk matrix routine and non-routine interventions. It is concluded that the joint and complementary use (not exclusive) of the risk analysis tools of this work and their respective matrices is a guide that helps methodologically to discern the risk and contribute to properly manage the APS. Likewise, the incorporation of the matrices of sys...

Introduction: Academic self-efficacy drives achievement and student well-being; however, brief, psychometrically rigorous measures tailored to complex university courses remain scarce. Existing long‑form scales, although thorough, are often impractical for time-constrained research and classroom diagnostics. Objective: to develop and validate the five‑item Self‑Efficacy Scale in Academic Mastery (SSAM). Method: Items rooted in the Social Learning Theory were reviewed by experts (n=6). Psychometric testing used two university samples (N₁ = 180, N₂ = 742) plus the PHQ‑4. Results: Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses supported a unidimensional structure with high reliability (α=.91; ω=.92) and good fit (CFI/TLI>.90; RMSEA/SRMR<.08). The scale showed configural, metric, and scalar invariance across the sex and academic status groups. Graded Response Model paramete...

This study was based on the psycholinguistics and cognitive theory believes that learning to read, candidates must have achieved a level of development in phonological awareness, knowledge of written language, verbal memory and semantic and syntactic levels of language oral. In this article we raised the consideration of these variables as predictors of learning reader in first grade children entering primary schools in the region of Callao. To fulfill that purpose, we designed and validated TEST PRE-READING SKILLS (THP), consisting of four subtests, the first to evaluate phonological awareness, the second, which assesses knowledge of the name and sound of the letters, the third which assesses verbal memory, and finally, the fourth which assesses the syntactic and semantic components of oral language. Reliability was estimated by Cronbach’s alpha and Spearman-Brown coefficient. Was det...

This study investigates emotional involvement in romantic relationships through the Relationship Involvement Scale (RIS), emphasizing its validation and reliability in a Peruvian sample. Interpersonal relationship challenges underline the significance of emotional commitment for well-being. The RIS uniquely assesses this aspect, distinguishing it from love, satisfaction, and maintenance measures. Through meticulous validation involving translation and expert review, and a sample of 300 Peruvian young adults, the research confirms the RIS’s unidimensional structure and reliability. Factorial analysis refines the scale by eliminating low-loading items, while associations with relationship satisfaction validate its construct. Utilizing confirmatory factor analysis, the study highlights the positive link between involvement and satisfaction, suggesting the RIS’s utility in understanding ...

The purpose of this instrumental study was to show how to conduct an RStudio process to obtain a content validity visual representation through the alluvial function of the ggplot2 package to Condom Use Self-Efficacy Scale (This paper explains the stages to analyze content validity using a visual representation of an interrater agreement and item – factor belonging and focused mainly on qualitative aspects to evaluate the judge’s behavior and items’ weight. Furthermore, the paper discusses classical criteria to obtain content validity and its representation. The visual representation used shows high relevance to present the qualitative data associated with the content validity analysis since it allows to visualize in a differential way the weight of the dimensions in each item, the content validity coefficient in the set of dimensions, and the behavior of the judges in the overall ...

This article details the process of design, validation and application (N = 501) of an ad-hoc questionnaire that measures Peruvian teachers' knowledge, attitudes, and reasoning in training on media education. With regards to the method, several psychometric validation techniques were applied and the results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed a high level of internal coherence and confidence in the construct. Limited knowledge of the subject was found in the participants, without observing significant differences between the variables, and a very positive assessment of its importance and urgency. To conclude, media education is transversal to different classifications and interest in it is homogeneous throughout the teaching staff in training.
