The article exposes the results of a critical analysis of the implementation process of the program Escuela Nueva in Colombia. It proposes a review at the policy borrowing process from an international perspective, as well as a description of the dynamics of implementation within the Colombian context. For such aim, an exhaustive analysis was performed by implementing a qualitative documentary review, using a typological sample selection of sources. The conclusions suggest the need to consider attendance and transition indicators as key elements for decision making regarding the continuity, diversification and improvement of the program, as well as the urgency of unifying the national goals in pursuit of a coordinated implementation of rural programs.

The present study aimed to: verify the effectiveness that has the Active Teaching Program in Learning Strategies students of the Faculty of Education Sciences of the National University Hermilio Valdizán, Huanuco - 2012. For which we worked with a sample of 78 students enrolled in the second year of studies, these students are divided into two groups: Basic Education and Secondary Education 42 36, the first was the control group and the experimental group second. Plagiarism is a serious, yet widespread type of research misconduct, and is often neglected in developing countries. Despite its far-reaching implications, plagiarism is poorly acknowledged and discussed in the academic setting, and insufficient evidence exists in Latin America and developing countries to inform the development of preventive strategies. In this context, we present a longitudinal case study of seven instances of plagiarism and cheating arising in four consecutive classes (2011–2014) of an Epidemiology Masters’ program in Lima, Peru, and describe the implementation and outcomes of a multifaceted, “zero-tolerance” policy aimed at introducing research integrity. Objective: To determine the impact of the Articulated Nutritional Program (PAN) on chronic malnutrition in children under five years of age, its correlation with the PAN’s budget execution, and the prevalence of chronic malnutrition at the Dirección Regional de Salud (DIRESA) Callao, 2009-2015. Materials and methods: A quantitative, qualitative, observational, ecological, correlational, longitudinal and retrospective study was carried out. The Pearson correlation coefficient was determined in the quantitative analysis. Qualitative data was obtained from in-depth interviews with the support of a semi-structured guide. The Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and University of Washington created the NIH-funded Kuskaya training program in response to the need for transformative global health training for talented graduates from all disciplines. Kuskaya is a 1-year, interdisciplinary training program that teaches Peruvian and US graduates critical skills related to public health research through the design and implementation of a collaborative research project in Peru.
