Two new reactivity indices were developed within the conceptual framework of the Density Functional Theory. These new descriptors, called electrophilic susceptibility index and nucleophilic susceptibility index, were tested to reproduce the chemical reactivity trends of series of halogen-substituted quinones and 5-substituted indoles, respectively. The above mentioned molecular system were computationally treated by using the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory. For these systems, the proposed descriptors showed to be more appropriate than other descriptors currently known such as the electrodonating power, the electroaccepting power and the popular electrophilicity index.

The digital age has increased the need for technological skills in students, posing challenges for educational institutions. Education requires a shift in pedagogical approaches, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, which accelerated social isolation and expanded the need to master digital environments within educational communities. This context has strengthened computational thinking (CT) as an effective strategy, adopted in the MIT-Harvard model since 2012, which has a clearly established theoretical framework. The purpose of this research was to assess the level of development of computational thinking competencies aimed at problem-solving. To achieve this, a quantitative study with a non-experimental cross-sectional design was conducted, examining the relationship between three dimensions of computational thinking: conceptual, practical, and perspectival, and their impact on the ...

Information Systems (IS) provide a unique opportunity for participating organizations to import management metrics that reflect the effectiveness of their operations. In addition to their continued competitiveness, the institutions that adopt them obtain a general advantage over those that do not adopt them, but it cannot be overlooked that information systems are a lurking risk that requires a significant investment by organizations to face up to the dangers associated with the use of this technology. The purpose of this study was to carry out a bibliographic review regarding the impact of IT audit developments in various organizations; public and private, SMEs and MSEs between 2017 and 2022. Nationally and internationally recognized databases of articles such as, Dialnet PLUS, DOAJ, SciELO, CORE, Redalyc, and Google Academic were used. The documents; categorized by date of publication,...
