The historical account of the International Conference on Primary Health Care of Alma-Ata (Soviet Union) WHO/UNICEF, the most important international health policy event in the early 70’s that marked a milestone in public health in the world, is presented. It was attended by 134 countries, 67 international organizations and many non-governmental organizations. Unfortunately, China was the big absentee. At the end of the historical account, the Declaration of Alma-Ata 1978 is presented.

New technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) and social media enable people to consciously and unconsciously generate large volumes of data daily, 24 hours a day and thus originated the concept of Big Data. The purpose of this paper is to present an overview of Big Data applications and challenges based on a literature review. Today, Big Data use is continuously increasing in different sectors such as business, medicine, criminology, tourism, energy, smart buildings, smart cities, research or development and others. This new technology is highly promising. However, it also presents challenges such as security, data quality, infrastructure as well as new roles, responsibilities and competences.

Technological advances have allowed to collect and store large volumes of data over the years. Besides, it is significant that today's applications have high performance and can analyze these large datasets effectively. Today, it remains a challenge for data mining to make its algorithms and applications equally efficient in the need of increasing data size and dimensionality [1]. To achieve this goal, many applications rely on parallelism, because it is an area that allows the reduction of cost depending on the execution time of the algorithms because it takes advantage of the characteristics of current computer architectures to run several processes concurrently [2]. This paper proposes a parallel version of the FuzzyPred algorithm based on the amount of data that can be processed within each of the processing threads, synchronously and independently.

The growing activity generated in digital communication platforms is raising new forms of relationship between organizations and their publics of interest. This has triggered, in turn, the production of a large amount of information, an explosion of data known as Big Data. In this new context, there is a need to study how the management of this huge amount of information faced in public relations, which is constantly generated at high speed and which requires even real-time management. In this work, we present a bibliographic review of the current state of research on the management of Big Data in Public Relations. The results showed a total 41 works. A content analysis of these works found that the activities of internal communications, media relations, crisis communications and issues management are the most related to massive data management.

Within the commercial sector, SMEs represent more than 90% of all companies; they are responsible for 50% of GDP and generate between 60% and 70% of employment worldwide, which is why they are critical in the Peruvian economy. However, through an exhaustive review of the literature and sectoral analysis, we concluded they have a high risk of failure in the short term due to various problems, such as poor inventory management. In the sustainable tourist sector today, there is a wide margin of loss in small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) because of a poor control in logistical expenses. In other words, acquired goods are note being sold, a scenario which is very common in tourism SMEs. These SMEs buy a number of travel packages to big companies and because of the lack of demand of said packages, they expire and they become an expense, not the investment it was meant to be. Language identification is an elemental task in natural language processing, where corpus-based methods reign the state-of-the-art results in multi-lingual setups. However, there is a need to extend this application to other scenarios with scarce data and multiple classes to face, analyzing which of the most well-known methods is the best fit. In this way, Peru offers a great challenge as a multi-cultural and linguistic country. Therefore, this study focuses in three steps: (1) to build from scratch a digital annotated corpus for 49 Peruvian indigenous languages and dialects, (2) to fit both standard and deep learning approaches for language identification, and (3) to statistically compare the results obtained. Dentro del nuevo enfoque de regulación, el OSIPTEL busca evitar imponer cargas innecesarias a los agentes mediante la simplificación normativa y el uso de nuevas tecnologías de información. En ese sentido, el OSIPTEL viene trabajando sobre una agenda que incorpora la Smart Regulation, siendo los primeros pasos a tomar la implementación del nuevo enfoque de supervisión a través de la supervisión remota; la sistematización en el tratamiento y procesamiento de la información periódica; la desregulación en mercados donde la falla de mercado tiene menor incidencia; y mecanismos supervisados de compartición.
