Se diseñó un sistema de biodiscos a escala de laboratorio como tratamiento secundario de un efluente de un reactor UASB. Se implementó un sistema de biodiscos con dos etapas conectadas en serie. Cada etapa con un volumen efectivo de 81 litros. Como medio de soporte de la biopelícula, se utilizaron 14 discos de PVC (siete en cada etapa) de 60 cm de diámetro, que hacían un área efectiva total de 7.48 m2. El sistema funcionó a un caudal constante de 432 l/día (TRH de 4.50 horas por etapa). La operación del sistema se dividió en tres períodos variando la velocidad de rotación de los discos (3 rpm durante 3 meses y 5 rpm durante 2 meses). Adobe is one of the oldest construction materials that is still used in many seismic countries, and different construction techniques are found around the world. The adobe material is characterized as a brittle material; it has acceptable compression strength but it has poor performance under tensile and shear loading conditions. Numerical modelling is an alternative approach for studying the nonlinear behaviour of masonry structures such as adobe. Electrocoagulation is frequently studied considering only the current or current density as a determining parameter when looking for the optimal conditions of wastewater treatment; however, these are correlated to the charge loading parameter that regulates the dose of metal to be dissolved. RBC System was built with two stages in series, each stage with effective volume of 81 liters and seven (07) PVC disks of 60 cm diameter with a total effective area of ​​7.92 m2. The tests on test rigs to simulate the real contact conditions generated between the teeth of a gear, but are expensive and of limited utility for its accuracy depends on the condition of equipment and material. The objective of this research is to develop a procedure that simulates the bending stress in gear teeth plastic through numerical simulation method and the study of the main parameters that affect the performance of plastic gears such as torque, power and efforts of these gears when in operation regime, comparing with the molten steel. The results of this research meet the general and specific objectives of the study, which will help in improving the technology of Peruvian industry.

We studied the uniform stabilization of a class of Timoshenko systems with tip load at the free end of the beam. Our main result is to prove that the semigroup associated to this model is not exponentially stable. Moreover, we prove that the semigroup decays polynomially to zero. When the damping mechanism is efective only on the boundary of the rotational angle, the solution also decays polynomially with rate depending on the coecients of the problem. The objective of this work is to present in a didactic way the results obtained in the article [9], using the theory of semigroups used in [10] and also contribute with the numerical part seen in [1]

In this work the synthesis of magnetite nanoparticles by coprecipitación in inverse microemulsion, which were introduced inside the pores of the polystyrene nanoparticles is reported. The nanoparticles of porous polystyrene were synthesized by heterogeneous polymerization in semicontinuo, which were employed like cover polymeric due to their biocompatibility and biostability. Through the analysis by X-ray diffraction was verified the structure of the magnetite, and estimated its average diameter of 9 nm. The polystyrene nanoparticles loaded with magnetite were prepared in different compositions magnetite/polymer and were determined by the test of magnetization that the magnetic moment (emu/g) is increased when the content of magnetite in the porous of polystyrene nanoparticles is increased.
