El obispo de Trujillo dejó un testimonio gráfico de su visita pastoral a las provincias serranas del norte del virreinato peruano en el llamado Códice Martínez Compañón (1782-1785). Las partituras contenidas en ese documento son una fuente primaria indispensable para aquellos interesados en las músicas vernáculas del mundo andino. De hecho, algunas tonadas y bailes del Códice son, para muchos, evidencia de una historia de mestizaje cultural y de supervivencia de músicas prehispánicas. Otros añaden que la hibridez estilística de esa música podría interpretarse como un espacio de resistencia o contracultura indígena. El ahora llamado “Ensamble Códice” es una orquesta conformada por alumnos y egresados de la especialidad de Música de la PUCP, que hace arreglos contemporáneos de música peruana y latinoamericana, de parte del repertorio del Códice Martínez Compañón. Esta banda se genera dentro del contexto del curso de Ensamble Proyecto en el 2018, para el cual se involucra al maestro Arturo “Kike” Pinto como profesor de dicho curso, posteriormente director y arreglista musical, y hacia final del 2019, asesor del proyecto. El conjunto está enfocado en la difusión de este patrimonio cultural y en la revalorización de las piezas incluidas en el Códice (una de las primeras músicas populares en quedar registrada en partituras de nuestro territorio). Estudio del testamento y codicilos del Inca Garcilaso de la Vega: primer humanista peruano (a. 1616)

En el presente trabajo damos a conocer la última voluntad de Gómez Suárez de Figueroa, el Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, primer humanista peruano, a través de los testamentos y codicilos redactados en 1616, último año de su vida, y que fueron encontrados por el archivero D. Ricardo Gómez y Sánchez en el archivo de protocolos de la Catedral de Córdoba, junto al inventario de los bienes y un memorial, siendo publicados hace ya más de un siglo, en 1908, por Manuel González de la Rosa, pero no ha habido un estudio especial que los contemple desde el punto de vista jurídico. A lo largo de su análisis se pone de relieve tanto la similitud formal con los modelos testamentarios registrados a partir de la primera mitad del siglo XVII, como sus peculiaridades de contenido, y se cierra con su transcripción.

The present work presents the last will of Gómez Suárez de Figueroa, Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, first Peruvian humanist, through the testaments and codicils written in 1616, the last year of his life, and which were found by record keeper Ricardo Gómez y Sánchez in the protocols files of the Cathedral of Córdoba, along with the inventory of assets and a memorial, being published more than a Century ago, in 1908, by Manuel González de la Rosa, but which lack a study from a juridical point of view.Along its analysis attention is drawn to its formal similarity to testamentary models registered starting in the first half of the 17th Century, as well as to its peculiarities in terms of content, to then close with its transcription.

In the following pages, we propose to approach, in part, the poetic world of the book Trilce (1922), by César Vallejo. We will concentrate on the exegesis of two poems of the aforementioned volume: «II» and «V», which are exemplary expressions of Vallejo's great vision of temporality and the love relationship. The title of the article is intended to emphasize the need to read with freedom, which is why we have established a special relationship between Trilce and Rayuela, since we understand that these two books demand an active, participatory, and creative reader.

This article pretends to be an approach to an academic debate between two scenarios that have risen amongst reading as we know it. With the integration of technological devices as iPads, Kindles, laptops, etc. the objectives, experiences and actors that participate in the reading process are inevitable affected, re-configuring the concept. This is why it is worth to distinguish both scenarios and generate a conversation that lead us to integrate both worlds and make reading a rewarding experience that’s integrated to digital life.

This text offers an overview of the reception, acceptance of the work of Ricardo Palma at various times in our history, from the publication of the first collection of the Peruvian Traditions (1872). There are some reactions of Peruvian critics and intellectuals about the work of the traditionist, although references are also made to those of other nationalities (Ibero-American), making references to the existing cultural and political environment. It concludes with the re-meaning of life and work of Palma, based on the actions of the Ricardo Palma Institute, in the new century, and its impact on the interest of the author of the traditions.

Se diseñó un sistema de biodiscos a escala de laboratorio como tratamiento secundario de un efluente de un reactor UASB. Se implementó un sistema de biodiscos con dos etapas conectadas en serie. Cada etapa con un volumen efectivo de 81 litros. Como medio de soporte de la biopelícula, se utilizaron 14 discos de PVC (siete en cada etapa) de 60 cm de diámetro, que hacían un área efectiva total de 7.48 m2. El sistema funcionó a un caudal constante de 432 l/día (TRH de 4.50 horas por etapa). La operación del sistema se dividió en tres períodos variando la velocidad de rotación de los discos (3 rpm durante 3 meses y 5 rpm durante 2 meses). Objetive. The critical reading of scientific articles allows the medical community, above all, to improve the context of decision making. The great amount of scientific production worldwide makes use of observational studies, however, a significant proportion is not useful for decision making, not because of its methodological limitations but because of errors in its application. Many studies published in relation to coronavirus 2019 disease have limitations and require statistical, epidemiological and clinical tools to be able to assess them and incorporate them into the practice of evidence-based medicine. In this review, we analyze the different observational research designs and with the help of examples we will see the different steps in the research process.

This paper is divided into two parts: the first contains a series of discussions presented in the binational seminar for Critical Elections and Social Movements, which took place virtually with professors of the University of Santiago, the Catholic University of Lima and the Catholic University of Valparaiso in July, 2021, organized in collaboration with Professor Carlota Casalino. Laboratory model RBC system was designed as secondary treatment of an UASB reactor effluent. RBC System was built with two stages in series, each stage with effective volume of 81 liters and seven (07) PVC disks of 60 cm diameter with a total effective area of 7.92 m2. RBC system operated at a constant flow rate of 432 l / day (HRT of 4.50 hours) and was operated in two periods at different disk rotational speed (3 rpm for 4 months and 5 rpm for 3 months). The values of BOD5, SST, Turbidity, pH and Temperature were measured. Moreover, the physical and microbiological biofilm characteristics were observed throughout the study period. RBC System achieved optimal degree of oxygenation, with an average value of 5.21 mg DO/ l just in the first stage. DOB5 Removal efficiency was 90% for 5 rpm of rotational speed and 78% for 3 rpm.
