The Constitution and the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as international treaties ratified by Chile, oblige the state to offer free legal assistance to those who require it, which is especially relevant in the criminal sphere. On the riots or social unrest that occurred in Chile in the last quarter of 2019 and early 2020, the Public Criminal Defense Office adopted a set of measures to offer legal defense to those who were detained or indicted by the criminal prosecution bodies. This research compares crime behavior in the country between 2017 and 2021 and identifies the social unrest crimes. These are a group of crimes whose frequency increased considerably during the turbulent months: 1) burglary, 2) public disorder, 3) disturbances to public order, and 4) attacks and threats against authorities. According to the World Health Organization, approximately 23 million people worldwide are diagnosed with liver disease each year. Objective: To analyze risky eating behaviors in relation to nutritional status and physical activity in young adults during the COVID-19 pandemic in the communes of Chillán and Chillán Viejo. Methods: Observational and cross-sectional design. A sample of 184 young adults of both sexes, who lived in two communes in the Ñuble region (Chile) during the period of confinement due to COVID-19 pandemic, was obtained. A personal history questionnaire and the SCOFF scale that assesses the risk of eating behavior disorders (EDs) were applied. Results: A 37.16% risk for ED was found (95% CI: 30.23 – 44.63%). La cerámica pintada/engobada es uno de los elementos más emblemáticos del Complejo El Vergel del Sur de Chile (1000-1550 d.C.). Si bien se ha abordado su variabilidad desde aspectos tipológicos, decorativos y tecnológicos, faltaba integrar más información respecto a las distintas elecciones en su manufactura para observar la distribución de los modos de hacer. Introduction: An amebic liver abscess is the most common presentation of extraintestinal amebiasis. This condition is the result of a parasite infection caused by Entamoeba histolytica. Materials and Methods: We report a case of a 53-year-old male who presented with abdominal pain in the right upper quadrant, jaundice, and a 10-kg weight loss within a 1-month span. Results and Conclusion: A wide range of symptoms and findings in the imaging tests suggestive of neoplasia, elevated levels of CA 19-9 and CA 125, and the presentation of biliary peritonitis as a complication makes this case a challenge for its approach and management.

La investigación sobre los factores de riesgo psicosociales y satisfacción laboral en trabajadores administrativos de una institución privada en la ciudad de Huaraz. El objetivo general fue determinar la relación entre los factores de riesgos psicosociales y la satisfacción laboral. La línea de investigación es de desarrollo organizacional por ello, el tipo de investigación utilizada es correlacional. La población está conformada por 300 trabajadores del área administrativa de instituciones privadas, el cual el total de la muestra es de 115 trabajadores. Introduction: The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI SS) is one of the most recognized instruments worldwide to assess burnout in the student population. Objective: To estimate the psychometric properties of the Maslach Burnout Inventory Student Survey (MBI-SS) in Chilean and Spanish university students. Method: An instrumental study was carried out in a non-probabilistic sample by quotas in 103 Chilean university students and 104 Spanish students. A confirmatory factorial analysis was performed, the reliability of the instrument and its factorial invariance for the Spanish and Chilean samples were analyzed. Introduction: Correct adhesion is a fundamental part of any orthodontic treatment. There are qualitative enamel alterations such as dental fluorosis, molar incisor hypomineralization and amelogenesis imperfecta that provide hypomineralized enamel in which a good adhesive bond is difficult to achieve. To overcome this difficulty, several alternatives have been proposed, such as the use of deproteinizing agents. The sampling was conducted to determine the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites in 35 individuals (22 females and 13 males), using the Teuscher coproparasitic technique. Only one sample of a female turtle was positive (2.85%), corresponding to an undetermined species of coccidia.

La siguiente revisión bibliográfica busca describir las alternativas digitales disponibles para la obtención de registros, posicionamiento y articulación virtual de modelos junto con ejemplificar algunos softwares que permitan la implementación de estas tecnologías en su trabajo diario. Se realizó una búsqueda de literatura en las bases de datos: Pubmed, LILACS, SciELO y Cochrane Library. Finalmente, luego de ser filtrados los resultados, se utilizaron un total de 36 publicaciones. The following literature review seeks to bring together the digital alternatives available for obtaining records, positioning and virtual articulation of models together with exemplifying some softwares to allow the implementation of these technologies in their daily workflow. A literature search was carried out in the following databases: Pubmed, LILACS, SciELO and Cochrane Library. Finally, after the results were filtered, a total of 36 publications were used. There are various tools currently available to digitize a large number of techniques that were only performed manually by an operator until a few years ago. Some of them facilitate a gradual immersion into the virtual world of the novice dentist since they lack high costs and resources. It is suggested that dentists implement these technologies into daily dental practice according to each particular case.

La creciente demanda de soluciones sostenibles en biotecnología ha impulsado el aprovechamiento de subproductos agroindustriales, como el orujo de uva, un residuo de la industria vitivinícola que contiene compuestos bioactivos con potencial para ser utilizados en procesos biotecnológicos, como la fermentación. En este contexto, se investigó la producción de biomasa del hongo Aspergillus oryzae utilizando orujo de uva como sustrato y harina de soja como fuente de nitrógeno, mediante fermentación en estado sólido.
