A selection of hydrometallurgical applications are shown in the processing of sulfur concentrates, being influenced by environmental regulations; being known as clean technologies. The hydrometallurgy technology of leaching, solvent extraction and electrodeposition is described, as well as a series of current investigations to avoid the production of SO2 through the LIX-SX-EW hydrometallurgical route; as well as solid waste management with arsenic content, for safe storage.

Mining and metallurgical activity produces liquid effluents as a waste during the extraction process, which must be treated in order to be disposed in the environment, following governmental and environmental legislation. The rice production includes the agriculture, productive, and distribution process. There are the need of the integral analysis, with the purpose of improve their efficient and competitively. It tries to provide a global vision of how the environmental issue is being handled by the government and businessmen of Peru, as well as to warn about the consequences that the current trend can bring for the development of the country. It maintains that, although the Environmental Code was promulgated, its scope was moderated shortly afterwards through other legal instruments aimed at promoting investment. In the same way, it is affirmed that the creation of a rector, the National Environment Council, will not be a guarantee for the solution of environmental problems either. On the other hand, the very little importance that Peruvian managers give to the preservation of the environment in comparison with those of other countries stands out. The present work deals with the proposed treatment scheme for the recovery of PVC and PET using mineral processing operations such as: size reduction. Separation by dense means, alkaline treatment and flotation. The results achieved at the laboratory level indicate that 95% of PVC and 97% of PET can be recovered from the selected sample of plastic containers collected in a residual sector of the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia.

In the context of clean technologies is not only important to maximize production , minimize costs, but also not pollute the environment , it is for that reason we must develop basic research leading to mitigate SO2 to prevent air pollution. Direct reduction of sulfides is of interest in the metallurgical field for the base metal , using a desulfurizer agent ( CaO, CaCO3 and Na2CO3) , this being a friendly metal production route. The objective of this work is the design of a prototype of a pneumatic centrifugal concentrator that allows small-scale mining that takes place in desert and isolated places, to process ultrafine gold minerals in situ, cleanly, without the use of water and chemical reagents. A mathematical model based on the physico-phenomenological analysis of the differential sedimentation separation mechanism was applied in a film of laminar flow fluid, to determine the particle trajectory inside the bowl of the centrifugal concentrator as a function of the variables of bowl geometry, operating variables and physical characteristics of the particle and fluid. The present work is an effort to achieve an industrial eco-efficiency reducing the direct and indirect environmental impacts present in the industrial refining of soybean oil, the use of the neutralizing agent of potassium hydroxide is proposed instead of what is currently being used, which is sodium hydroxide, and in this way eliminate the liquid tributary that is poured into the public network causing a negative environmental impact on the water bodies and the sewer system; This adverse situation for the environment will revert into something favorable for the ecosystem.
