Las infecciones por protozoarios y helmintos intestinales mantienen su vigencia como entidades nosológicas negativas para las poblaciones, principalmente de países en vías de desarrollo como es el caso del Perú; sin embargo, informes de instituciones, tales como hospitales o Laboratorios de Análisis Clínicos a cuyas instalaciones concurren pobladores con algún síntoma gastrointestinal, son escasos y no permite tener una apreciación de lo que sucede. The impact of rococo has been traditionally overlooked in the retablos of Peru. Although scholars recognized that rococo appeared on certain retablos of late-18th century Lima and Trujillo as decoration, little effort has been made to investigate how the style reached the viceroyalty. This article identifies printed sources from France and Germany (Augsburg) and considers how artists used them. It also compares the treatment of rococo motifs and forms in Trujillo with the way those forms are treated in the Cono Sur (present-day Argentina and Chile). Although the same sources were used in both areas, the retablos of the Cono Sur were frequently made by immigrants (especially from German-speaking lands) while those in the north were usually made by criollo craftsmen.

Description of the situation of commerce and traders in the city of Trujillo, Peru, based on the study of a representative case, the deputy judge of commerce in that city between 1780 and 1820. It covers his beginnings in the trade activity, the creation of his network and commercial company, and the space in which he worked and applied a series of strategies that turned him into the most representative authority of the merchant guild. It also includes the modalities of negotiation (intercolonial and distance commerce), the products dispatched and the profitability of the activity that was deployed.The aim is to show the peculiar characteristics of the Trujillo market and its agents at the end of the viceroyalty period.

The district of Trujillo faces a public health issue due to the emergence of critical points of solid waste accumulation, which increases the risk of disease transmission, degrades the urban environment, and negatively affects the population’s perception of safety and well-being. The objective of this study is to analyze the spatial patterns of critical point generation in Trujillo and their relationship with socio-environmental factors that may explain their distribution. A quantitative approach was employed, specifically a descriptive-correlational, non-experimental design, combining remote sensing techniques, spatial analysis through Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and fieldwork based on household surveys. OBJECTIVE: To examine the mental health of 12 to 18 year-old adolescent population. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A mental health household survey was carried out in a sample randomly selected from two areas of Las Delicias, District of Moche, Trujillo City, Peru: 32 subjects from Taquila (a rural area) and 43 from the North Zone (an area in process of urbanization). RESULTS: Problems related to substance abuse, mainly alcohol, were more predominant in Taquila while symptoms of distress and depression with lower family and social support were evident in the North Zone; the differences between the two subsamples were statistically significant. CONCLUSION: Stressors related to the described problems are probably immerse in the macrovariables associated to the urbanization process of that population.

Objective: To determine resistance levels to temephos in Aedes aegypti strains from Trujillo. Material and Methods: The larvae bioassays were done according to the World Health Organization’s methodology. Third or early fourth stage larvae from each population were used, including the reference Rockefeller stock. Five replications from each insecticide concentration were done with mortalities varying between 2 and 98%. Results: All studied strains were susceptible to temephos, with Florencia de Mora showing de highest resistance ratio with 3,05 X value. Conclusion: Continuous resistance to temephos monitoring should be carried out in A. aegypti strains in order to decide on the correct use of this insecticide.

La presente investigación, tuvo como objetivo describir un mecanismo de diagnóstico para los Complejos Deportivos en Trujillo – Perú, correspondiéndole un tipo de investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva y básica, y cuyo diseño fue no experimental transeccional. La muestra, consistió en 6 Complejos Deportivos ubicados en la Provincia de Trujillo, siendo los únicos que cumplieron con los indicadores 28, 29 y 30 de la Resolución Ministerial N.º 071 del MINEDU. The study consisted of determining the effectiveness of the tutoring to develop the assertiveness of the primary school students, who initially showed problems of aggression and shyness. The research was conducted in two groups of students, each consisting of 32 students, divided into room "A" (experimental group) and "B" (control group). The research is of an explanatory, quasi-experimental level. The general hypothesis was put forward: tutoring develops the assertiveness of students in the third grade of primary education in educational institutions in the province of Trujillo, Peru; in addition to two specific hypotheses. La fibrosis quística (FQ) es una enfermedad congénita ocasionada por la mutación del gen CFRT que afecta a 1 de cada 3 500 nacidos vivos a nivel mundial. En Latinoamérica, hemos visto un gran progreso con respecto al diagnóstico y tratamiento de esta enfermedad; sin embargo, para algunos países de la región éste es un objetivo aún lejano. A continuación, se expone el caso de un prematuro varón de 32 semanas de edad gestacional, 1250g de peso y RCIU tipo III que presentó sintomatología florida en etapa neonatal, relacionada con anemia e hiperbilirrubinemia, ictericia colestásica, intolerancia alimentaria y problemas respiratorios, en el cual se sospechó de una enfermedad metabólica. El resultado del tamizaje neonatal ampliado se obtuvo postmortem y resultó positivo para FQ.

Objetivo: El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar las características de la dieta oral temprana, las frecuencias por edad de cesáreas y datos antropométricos de las pacientes pos cesareadas en el hospital Belén de Trujillo-Perú. Material y métodos: Estudio observacional de tipo descriptivo transversal realizado en 77 pacientes pos cesareadas donde se recolectó datos antropométricos y las características de la dieta oral y se registró los alimentos ingeridos, precisando el tipo y cantidad, por día, utilizando la tabla peruana de equivalente calórico. RESUMEN El presente trabajo, es en una propuesta metodológica de mejora, en la gestión de inventarios de la empresa Soho Color Salón y Spa de la ciudad de Trujillo, con el fin de reducir costos. Prosaldius saccharidis Barber (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) "black weevil" is a potential pest that causes damages in the cultivation of sugarcane in the country. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar las características de las diferentes fases biológicas de P. saccharidis. Objective.To determine the relationship of lifestyles and metabolic syndrome in the adult and elderly population in the city of Trujillo (Peru), between July and August 2019. Methods. The study was nonexperimental, descriptive,correlational and cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 227 adults and44 elderlies. Metabolic syndrome was determined by criteria of harmonisedATP-III. To evaluate lifestyles, a questionnaire about snacks, fruits, vegetables, tobacco consumption, alcohol and physical activity was used. The statistical analysis used to relate both variables was the chi-square test. Results. The purpose of this work concerns about Metaheuristics Tabu Search (TS). It deals with optimizing logistic and environmental cost by delivery of goods and waste pickup generated in Trujillo-Peru. The problem arises in two levels, which are focused on locating facilities and creating routes to minimize expenses and produce the lowest amount of CO2. The TS was implemented in the C programming language and assessed for individual instances, it consists on real data of the geographical coordinates of the providers, facilities and customers of the city, simulated data of orders, collections and cost of facilities, among others. The results for different instances show that satisfactory solutions were found in acceptable time, achieving the location of facilities and the creation of routes with the least possible cost and the least amount of pollution.
