Con esta investigación se demuestra, que la inversión en infraestructura de transporte terrestre tiene impactos significativos en el desarrollo económico territorial, en particular la infraestructura de la red vial de tipo nacional y departamental, siendo los resultados consistentes con el nivel de producción de las regiones; por otro lado, también se encuentran como factores determinantes del desarrollo económico territorial a la ruralidad y a los recursos financieros derivados del canon.

In this regard, it is observed that despite having increased investment in transportation infrastructure between 2010 and 2019, heterogeneities at the level of development in the departments have still persisted; This is evidenced in the lagging level of coverage of the paved neighborhood and departmental road network, these roads being the ones closest to the productive activities of citizens.
