La muestra estuvo conformada por 12 estudiantes de 5 años de ambos sexos; en relación con recopilación de datos, se utilizó como instrumento la ficha de observación con 14 ítems. Se aplicó la prueba paramétrica de t de Student. Como resultado en el pretest se pudo hallar que los niveles de conciencia ambiental destacan el nivel medio con 58.00%, el nivel bajo, con un 42.00%, y el nivel alto, con 0.00%; lo cual cambió en el postest, ya que lo que predominó fue el nivel alto con 100.00%, seguido del nivel medio, con 0.00%, finalmente el nivel bajo con 0.00%; con lo cual, el promedio del postest es altamente significativo en comparación con el promedio del pretest. Se concluyó que el Biohuerto escolar mejora de manera significativa el desarrollo de la conciencia ambiental en los niños de 5 años.

The methodology was applied, under the quantitative approach, with a pre-experimental design. The sample consisted of 12 5-year-old students of both sexes; in relation to data collection, the observation sheet with 14 items was used as an instrument. The Student t parametric test was applied. As a result of the pretest, it was found that the levels of environmental awareness stand out at a medium level with 58.00%, a low level, with 42.00%, and a high level, with 0.00%; which changed in the post-test, since the high level predominated with 100.00%, followed by the medium level, with 0.00%, and finally the low level with 0.00%; thus, the average of the post-test is highly significant compared to the average of the pre- test.
