Sumario:The purpose of the research is to explain the influence of motivation and learning strategies on academic performance in students of the professional school of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon 2023. This research was descriptive with a quantitative approach., with a non-experimental design of a correlational type, the selection of the sample was probabilistic with 54 students from the 5th level of cycle IX of semester I, data collection was through interviews, information analysis and the instruments were questionnaires. The study determined that the use of motivation was very good with 57.4%, 63.0% and 46.3% were very good for intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation correspondingly. In relation to the use of learning strategies in students, it was excellent with 33.3%, 37.0% and 35.2% were excellent for the cognitive and metacognitive learning strategy dimensions respectively. 59.3% of the students were at the regular level regarding academic performance. Therefore, it is concluded that there is an influence of motivation and learning strategies on academic performance in students of the 5th level of cycle IX of the professional school of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of the National University of the Peruvian Amazon 2023 with the statistical tests. Pearson's R = 4.474, p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05) between motivation and academic performance and Pearson's r = 3.104, p-value = 0.003 (p < 0.05) between learning strategy and academic performance. In this sense, it is stated that both motivation and learning strategies are significantly related to academic performance.
