description El presente trabajo de investigación cuyo objetivo general fue determinar la relación entre la psicomotricidad y el desarrollo cognitivo en estudiantes del nivel inicial de la Institución Educativa Túpac Amaru II, Trujillo 2021. Metodológicamente es una investigación básica, no experimental, de corte trasversal, de una población conformada por 98 niños y niñas del nivel inicial, se estableció mediante una muestra por conveniencia trabajar con 44 estudiantes del aula Lila. Se aplicó dos instrumentos, la ficha de observación de psicomotricidad y la ficha de desarrollo cognitivo. Se pudo demostrar la hipótesis planteada ya que los resultados obtenidos mostraron que la psicomotricidad influye directamente en el desarrollo cognitivo de los estudiantes del nivel inicial. Concluyendo que existe relación directa y significativa entre la psicomotricidad y desarrollo cognitivo en estudiantes del nivel inicial de la Institución Educativa Túpac Amaru II, Trujillo 2021 demostrado por la correlación de Spearman, Rho = 0.850, y p = < 0.05.
