Resultados: Se incluyeron 180 pacientes con amputación. 64,4% tenían 59 años o más, 78,9% fueron de sexo masculino y 78,9% no habían sido atendidos previamente (nuevos). 70,6% fueron amputados por causa vascular. 85,6% tuvieron amputación del miembro inferior, mayormente por arriba de rodilla. El tiempo de espera para rehabilitación prolongado (de tres meses o más) fue más común en pacientes nuevos o con 69 años a más. Conclusiones: La mayoría sufrió amputación del miembro inferior, sobre todo por causas vasculares o traumáticas. El tiempo de espera para rehabilitación tuvo una mediana de tres meses, siendo mayor en pacientes nuevos o con 69 años a más.

Prolonged waiting time for rehabilitation (three months or more) was more common in new patients or those aged 69 years or older.Conclusions:The majority experienced lower limb amputation, primarily due to vascular or traumatic causes.
