Strunk (University of Stuttgart, Germany) for helping us with the PLE measurements.The luminescence of Tb-doped a-SiC:H thin films with different Tb concentrations under sub-bandgap photon excitation was investigated. Two independent processes were identified. The annealing induced activation of the Tb3+ and the inhibition of host-mediated non-radiative recombination paths. The integrated emission intensity is described by a rate equation model, considering these two. In this study, the luminescence enhancement with increasing annealing temperature is shown. The optimal Tb concentration and annealing temperature for the highest Tb-related light emission intensity is determined. Finally, a parameter proportional to the number of optically active ions is found through the aforementioned model.Consejo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Tecnológica - ConcytecengMaterials Research SocietyMRS Advancesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessThin filmsAmorphous materials-1Annealing-1Annealing-1Chemical activation-1Chemical activation-1Luminescence-1Silicon carbide-1Terbium-1Light emission intensity-1Luminescence enhancements-1Optically active ions-1Rate-equation models-1Rate-equation models-1Amorphous films-1Amorphous films-1https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#1.03.00-1Analytical Study of the Thermal Activation of Tb Doped Amorphous SiC:H Thin Filmsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/conferenceObjectreponame:CONCYTEC-Institucionalinstname:Consejo Nacional de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovacióninstacron:CONCYTEC#PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE#20.500.12390/515oai:repositorio.concytec.gob.pe:20.500.12390/5152024-05-30 15:35:38.507http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cbinfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessmetadata only accesshttps://repositorio.concytec.gob.peRepositorio Institucional CONCYTECrepositorio@concytec.gob.pe#PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE#<Publication xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/1.1/" id="0bd9feb6-9358-4420-a400-fd5bc60c3952"> <Type xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/vocab/COAR_Publication_Types">http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_1843</Type> <Language>eng</Language> <Title>Analytical Study of the Thermal Activation of Tb Doped Amorphous SiC:H Thin Films</Title> <PublishedIn> <Publication> <Title>MRS Advances</Title> </Publication> </PublishedIn> <PublicationDate>2016</PublicationDate> <DOI>https://doi.org/10.1557/adv.2016.464</DOI> <SCP-Number>2-s2.0-85041322534</SCP-Number> <Authors> <Author> <DisplayName>Guerra Torres, Jorge Andrés</DisplayName> <Person id="rp00710" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Tucto K.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp00713" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Montañez L.M.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp00708" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>De Zela F.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp00711" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Töfflinger J.A.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp00712" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Winnaker A.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp00709" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Weingärtner R.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp00714" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> </Authors> <Editors> </Editors> <Publishers> <Publisher> <DisplayName>Materials Research Society</DisplayName> <OrgUnit /> </Publisher> </Publishers> <Keyword>Thin films</Keyword> <Keyword>Amorphous materials</Keyword> <Keyword>Annealing</Keyword> <Keyword>Annealing</Keyword> <Keyword>Chemical activation</Keyword> <Keyword>Chemical activation</Keyword> <Keyword>Luminescence</Keyword> <Keyword>Silicon carbide</Keyword> <Keyword>Terbium</Keyword> <Keyword>Light emission intensity</Keyword> <Keyword>Luminescence enhancements</Keyword> <Keyword>Optically active ions</Keyword> <Keyword>Rate-equation models</Keyword> <Keyword>Rate-equation models</Keyword> <Keyword>Amorphous films</Keyword> <Keyword>Amorphous films</Keyword>
The luminescence of Tb-doped a-SiC:H thin films with different Tb concentrations under sub-bandgap photon excitation was investigated.
