Neurofibromatosis type 1 is a dominant autosomal disease caused by mutation of the neurofibrin gene located in chromosome 17q11.2. This disease presents a variety of clinical manifestations and predisposition to develop tumors, leading to high mortality. We report the case of a patient with neurofibromatosis type 1 diagnosis who developed a malignant tumor of peripheral nerve sheath and colon cancer. The authors review the literature as well as the clinical factors, imaging and histological features associated to neurofibromas malignant transformation.

Psychotherapy seeks to modify abnormal behavior and promote normal behaviors through psychological and attitudinal means, as well as corrective experiences. Its utility is reflected in clinical practice guidelines that place it within the first lines of treatment for mental disorders. Introduction. The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted the adoption of telepsychiatry for psychiatric medical care. Objective. To evaluate the acceptability of telepsychiatry by psychiatrists, determine the characteristics of telepsychiatric care and request recommendations for the improvement of the telepsychiatry service. Methods. A virtual survey was administered to psychiatrists of the three main psychiatric hospitals in Lima from June 16 to July 16, 2020. Results. 42.9% had worked in telepsychiatry and 57.2% perceived high congruence (80% -100%) between telepsychiatry and face-to-face care. Sr. Editor, Desde mediados de diciembre del 2022 hasta parte de febrero del 2023 se desarrollaron en el Perú protestas sociales de gran magnitud que expresaron el reclamo de un sector de la población (1). Así, se registraron incidentes de violencia entre protestantes y las fuerzas del orden, bloqueo de carreteras, toma de aeropuertos, entre otros (2). Estos incidentes  produjeron la paralización de actividades económicas, sentimiento de inseguridad e incertidumbre social (1); y al 5 de febre-ro del 2023, 59 fallecidos y 1229 heridos (2). Además, millones de personas atestiguaron estos incidentes directa o indirectamente por medios de comunicación y redes sociales.

Objective: to measure production, impact, and collaboration in Peruvian research on mental health as reported in Scopus, from 1992 until 2018. Materials and methods: this is a bibliometric review that analyzed publications featured in Scopus and dealing with psychiatry and mental health that had been produced by researchers affiliated to Peruvian institutions. Scientific production analysis reviewed the number of papers published per year, the impact analysis assessed the number of times these papers were referenced in Scopus, and the collaboration analysis assessed institutions and country networks participating in the aforementioned pieces of research. OBJETIVO: Analizar la prevalencia de las agresiones sexuales intrafamiliares y extrafamiliares en adolescentes del Perú y su asociación con el consumo de alcohol. MÉTODOS: Se utilizó un muestreo probabilístico bietápico y estratificado para seleccionar estudiantes varones y mujeres de educación secundaria de todo el Perú. Los datos de 54,756 estudiantes que incluían información demográfica, sobre consumo de alcohol y drogas, y agresión sexual fueron incluidos en el estudio. En el análisis estadístico se consideró el muestreo complejo y se condujeron dos análisis independientes por el tipo de agresión sexual (intrafamiliar y extrafamiliar), estratificado por el sexo de la víctima. El proyecto trata de demostrar la gran influencia que tiene las adherencias peritoneales a nivel vesicular, para la conversión de la colecistectomía laparoscópica, pues según estudios actuales sigue siendo un factor importante. Así mismo refleja la realidad de nuestra población en estudio como de otras instituciones a fin, lo cual se deberá poner énfasis en tal punto y así no tener complicaciones durante la cirugía laparoscópica. Material y métodos: Estudio de cohorte retrospectivo y transversal. La muestra estará conformada por 43 pacientes para cada grupo, uno que comprende pacientes con colecistitis aguda que presentan adherencias peritoneales durante la colecistectomía laparoscópica y otro grupo que no presenta adherencias; de cualquier sexo entre 20 y 60 años de edad.
