In the present work the revision, deduction and application of mathematical models in the quantification of the reaction kinetics of leaching processes of national sulphided minerals in chemical systems is made. The interaction between the mineral particles and the leaching solution is controlled by three possible mechanisms: by chemical reaction, by diffusion through the porous bed and by mass transfer; Each mechanism has its own mathematical modeling and parametric conditions. Experimental runs of leaching of gold and copper minerals are presented, in which their kinetic control equations of the most relevant variables are shown. Other empirical models are also shown that are used to elucidate the phenomenology of the leaching of mineral species, call chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena.

The study was carried out with isolated strains of acid drainage and consisted of processing of highly mineralized copper sulphides that mainly contained 45.30% pyrite and 13.12% arsenopyrite. Bioleaching was carried out in 500 ml flasks, where 300 ml of 9k medium, 30 ml of bacterial inoculum (10% V / V) of 7.05x107 Cell / ml and various amounts of FeSO4.7H2O were added. The pH was regulated to 1.8 and they were subjected to platform agitation with 150 RPM at ambient temperature of 20 ° C on average. The tests were carried out in three successive stages at different concentrations of ferrous salt. In the first stage, 72.64% copper was obtained with 6 g / l of FeSO4.7H2O in 22 days. In the second stage, 85.6% of copper was achieved in the absence of the ferrous salt. Greater bacterial growth was also achieved with 15 g / l FeSO4.7H2O and 25.62% copper recovery in 24 days of leaching; In ...

It has been obtained a good quality copper cement from copper-zinc sulphides ores of the east peruvian Andes at Marañon complex zone using integrated metallurgical processes, that makes easier the possibility to give technological value to peruvian concentrates of copper. Monitoring obtained products employing combined techniques such the X-Ray diffraction or the Mössbauer spectroscopy allow us to have a better information of the existing elements and help to control and optimize the metallurgical processes. With the Cementation Cinetic Equation there have been carried out simulations of the process, considering the process related variables, like time, agitation, solution concentration, pH, etc. Recovery has reported up to 70% of copper, that gives the way to improve national ore and concentrate extraction costs and open a great possibility to apply it to postergated small and medium ...

Polymetallic sulfide ores are found in abundance in nature and especially in our country, hence the great importance of studying their behavior in the differential flotation. There are ores that are very amenable to flotation and there are also other complex minerals that have a very complicated flotation because of different factors, the most difficult ones are those with natural activation of sphalerite and iron sulphides due to soluble salts that the mineral can have as a result of the presence of metal ions from different metals, mainly copper. The copper, lead and zinc ore that was studied did not show difficulties during the selective flotation; the quality and the separation efficiency of concentrates can be improved with more time and more stages of flotation cleaning. We defined the theoretical concepts of the selective flotation and made the mineralogical and chemical study of ...

Tailings come from a mineral containing copper, silver and gold and recovery percentages of 90% of copper, 55 % of silver and 10% of gold from flotation. The study and mineralogic characteristic made to tail at 200 x magnification shows the presence of 54% of pyrite and 43% of gangue, does not detect gold, and has a chemical analysis of 3.74 gr/TM gold and 4.18 Oz/TC silver. The cyanidation tests made to the reground tailings at – 45 u give poor recoveries, 10% at most, reinforcing the hypothesis that the precious metal is in solid solution in the pyrite. Based on these results, cyanide lixiviation tests are performed using air and pyrometallurgical oxidation, in the first case 40% of cyanide dissolution is obtained trough air oxidation in alkaline media, and in the second case, 90% of gold is recovered trough roasting tests at 600° C, calcine wash to diminish the consumption of react...
