La Poza de la Arenilla es un humedal artificial creado por la construcción de dos roquedales en la parte sur del distrito de La Punta, Callao, Perú el cual tiene 18,2 ha aproximadamente. Las aves playeras limícolas pertenecen en su totalidad al Orden Charadriiformes; las cuales pertenecen a las familias: Haematopodidae, Charadriidae y Scolopacidae. A fin de determinar la variación temporal de las aves playeras limícolas, se realizó un estudio entre enero 2013 y Septiembre 2016, con la metodología de las transectas; el recorrido fue de 1,115 km, esta pasa a través de una zona urbana en el lateral izquierdo del transecto y una zona marina costera en el lateral derecho. The wetlands of Callao have a variety of aquatic flora and fauna. These oases (Ventanilla Wetlands Regional Conservation Area (ACRHV), El Mirador Municipal Ecological Park and the Poza de la Arenilla-HCPA Coastal Wetland) are a great attraction for tourism and bird watching. However, there is only one wetland with protection status: Ventanilla Wetlands Regional Conservation Area (ACRHV). Although the other two wetlands are not protected, there are initiatives for their conservation. The importance of this article lies in identifying the bird species that these wetlands harbor, as well as having accurate information on the resident and migratory birdlife. The visit of Phoenicopterus chilensis (Molina, 1782) to the wetlands of the Callao Region, Peru from April to January is reported in variable numbers from one to 14 individuals. The observations were made of adults, juveniles and immatures. The oldest record for these wetlands is the one reported in August 1998 by Edward Brinkley and the largest; record of P. chilensis was in August 2017 with 14 individuals.

Los parques y jardines presentes en la ciudad de Lima forman importantes ecosistemas urbanos los cuales dado la riqueza de especies biológicas pueden considerarse refugios de fauna silvestre así como formar parte de circuitos de observación de aves urbanas. El parque de las leyendas (PLL) destaca por presentar un gran número de especies de aves silvestres, 45 registradas durante los años 2016 a 2018. Despite the increasing research carried out in the Callao wetlands, little is known about their biological diversity. The Municipal Ecological Park "El Mirador" is located in the Ventanilla district and has approximately 20 hectares. Most of the problems that this wetland presents are the gradual reduction of its spaces, due to urban expansion, fires, dumping of solid waste and unauthorized income. El Humedal Costero “Poza de La Arenilla” (HCPA) ubicado en el distrito de La Punta (Callao), Perú recibe cada año un grupo importante de aves playeras limícolas de las cuales no se tiene información detallada. El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo definir la distribución espacial de las especies de aves playeras limícolas en este humedal entre enero 2013 y diciembre 2015 y determinar la composición en cada una de las once zonas identificadas:Arenilla, Canal, Cantos rodados R1 (CR1), Espejo de agua 1 (EA1), Espejo de Agua 2 (EA2), Muro/canal (MC), Orilla, Orilla de arenilla 1 (OA1), Orilla de arenilla 2 (OA2), Roquedal 1 (R1) y Roquedal 2 (R2).
