The rocoto (Capsicum pubescens Ruiz & Pav.) is a nightshade with a center of origin in Peru, with great gastronomic value. It is affected by diseases that limit its development, spread by infected seeds. The in vitro culture of plant tissues allows the propagation of elite genotypes with the availability of pathogen-free plant material. The objective was to determine the in vitro response of hot pepper in the establishment of seeds and regeneration from terminal buds. Hot pepper seeds were used in different treatments with sodium hypochlorite. Leaves and roots of germinated rocotts were removed in vitro, leaving epicotyl with terminal buds and transferred to culture media with different concentrations of salts and MS vitamins for the in vitro regeneration phase, the organogenic response and oxidation were evaluated. La papa chaucha (Solanum tuberosum L. grupo Phureja) presenta un desarrollo rápido, gran adaptación, genes de resistencia a enfermedades, bajo costo de producción, alto contenido nutricional y calidad culinaria, pero presenta también baja productividad y heterogeneidad. Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) is one of the most important economic crops worldwide. The propagation of elite varieties of cocoa has been achieved through somatic embryogenesis, but still one of the main limitations is the low rates of embryo formation, which is a genotype-dependent trait. Manipulation of transcription factors (TFs) such as BABY BOOM (BBM) promotes the transition of cocoa somatic cells from the vegetative to the embryonic state. En la actualidad su área de cultivo se encuentra reducida, siendo su única área de conservación in situ, por lo que es necesario su conservación en condiciones ex situ, como bancos de semillas o in vitro. La alternativa de conservación en condiciones in vitro permitirá obtener plántulas libres de patógenos, su multiplicación masiva en cualquier época del año y conservación para programas de mejoramiento genéticos.
