This research paper analyzes the Bolivian media coverage of the presidential runoff of the 2021 General Elections in Peru, in which the candidates participated: Pedro Castillo and Keiko Fujimori. The main objective was to study the frames that El Diario and La Razón used in the journalistic articles of their web portals. Likewise, we identified the digital space given to the publications and recognized the profiles that the foreign press built around each candidate. From a mixed approach, we analyzed metrics and used qualitative tools to examine the use of level and generic framing. To do so, we focused on the media with the highest readership in La Paz and analyzed 34 web articles that were published between April 12 and June 6, 2021. The results show that 44% were journalistic products lacking depth in which less than 400 words were used; 35% presented confrontational frames; 43% refe...

The present research consists of the branding development for a socks label called ‘Söco’, taking as the main element the corporate design manual. The brand aspires to combine style and creativity, with quality and comfort. Likewise, to create balance between fantasy and youth with elegance and minimalism. The aim is to reinvent this garment’s supply in the local fashion industry through classic designs but adding a fun twist with the implementation of the graphic line and the storytelling. Also, giving relevance to an accessory that even though is not always considered relevant, it can turn out to be a great addition for teenagers and young adult’s wardrobes. Additionally, as a part of the background, the character that started the project will be introduced. Lastly, the development of the brand’s personality is complemented through digital marketing.

In intervention contexts within indigenous communities, communication faces challenges such as linguistic barriers, cultural differences, and distrust toward external approaches. Overcoming these obstacles requires intercultural strategies that integrate local traditions and promote respectful dialogue to achieve sustainable changes in health habits. In response, a study was conducted to develop an intercultural communication intervention aimed at fostering adherence to handwashing practices among Quechua and Aymara schoolchildren. The methodology employed a mixed-methods approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design without a control group, involving 16 schoolchildren from Mataro Chico, in Azángaro, and 19 from Luquina Chico, in Chucuito, both located in the Puno region. Pretest results revealed low adherence to handwashing practices. The intervention was designed with son...

The article analyzes the journalistic coverage of the Peruvian cyber media on the recognition of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu as the first carbon neutral tourist attraction in the world. The main objective was to study the informative quality and the frames that the Peruvian News Agency Andina, El Peruano, El Comercio and La República used in digital articles, from October 2, 2020 to January 7, 2022. Through a mixed approach, 48 notes were examined. The results showed that the cybermedia lack specialized sections on environmental issues; there is a lack of dynamism in the use of genres, structures and narrative levels; and episodic and issue frames were more employed. The researchers concluded that positive environmental news is not exposed by the media as much as dramatic events.

Millipedes are not considered poisonous animals, although in some cases their chemical defense mechanisms may be deleterious for human beings, manifesting as erythematous, purpuric and/ or cyanotic lesions alongside local pain and paresthesia. According to the exposure, the clinical condition may progress to moderate and severe lesions such as ulcers and blisters. We describe a case of a male child from the Andean region in Colombia, an area with daily temperatures between 15° and 30° C and 72% average humidity. The boy accidentally stepped on a millipede, and this occurrence became a challenge for its diagnosis amongst staff who provided emergency health care.
