Con ocasión de mi visita al pueblo Kandozi, en Loreto en el 2010, conocí el problema de salud que viene sufriendo dicho pueblo con posterioridad a la llegada de terceros en su territorio, debido a las actividades extractivas de una empresa petrolera. El 90% del pueblo Kandozi viene sufriendo la enfermedad de Hepatitis B. Dicha enfermedad puede llevar a los Kandozi a la extinción. Esta situación me motivó a estudiar sobre los derechos de los pueblos indígenas. Más adelante, tuve la oportunidad de conocer el caso de las comunidades campesinas y rondas campesinas de las provincias de Celendín, HualgayocBambamarca y Cajamarca de la región Cajamarca, quienes se autoidentifican como descendientes de los pueblos indígenas Chachapoyas, Coremarcas, Caxamarcas y otros. The literature acknowledges the importance of the education in Economics and Business Administration for the competitiveness of all countries. However, what exactly is educational quality in this discipline has been insufficiently studied. The objective of this paper is to contribute in this area by putting forward a conceptual model to assess and monitor quality in higher education. Our study intends to provide information that is significant to the lecturers and higher education managers that compete in an international knowledge-based economy, and particularly in Europe, and more precisely in Spain, in the European Higher Education Area.

Methylmercury (MeHg) is one of the most toxic organic mercury compounds found in the environment. The continuous exposure of human beings to this highly toxic compound may damage their nervous system. The present work reports the development and application of a novel electrochemical sensing technique for the quantification of MeHg using a modified carbon paste electrode with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) combined with ion imprinted polymer, which is highly selective toward MeHg (CPE/MWCNTs/IIP-MeHg) detection. OBJETIVO: Describir y comparar las caracteristicas socio-demograficas y los estilos de vida de pacientes con cancer gastrico versus un grupo control con otros desordenes gástricos importantes, en centros de salud de referencia en Lima, Peru. METODOS: Estudio caso-control pareado por sexo y edad +2 anos. Tiempo: Setiembre 2001 a noviembre 2007. Encuesta a 96 casos con cancer gastrico y a 96 controles. RESULTADOS: No hubo diferencias significativas en raza, estado conyugal, exposicion apolvo de minerales, polvo de madera o de metales; consumo de alcohol, tabaco, carnes rojas, agregar sal a los alimentos, o temperatura elevada de los mismos. Se identifico lesion en el antro gastrico en 87,5% de los controles y 73% de los casos, siendo el adenocarcinoma tubular el tipo histologico mas frecuente entre los casos (56%). The present study reports the simultaneous determination of dipyrone and codeine by a simple, fast and low-cost method using carbon black paste electrode (CBPE) modified with α-cyclodextrin (CD) and hierarchical porous carbon (HPC). Using optimum conditions, the CD-HPC/CBPE sensor proposed in this study presented excellent electrochemical catalysis. Based on square wave voltammetry (SWV) analysis, linear concentration ranges of 0.46 to 35 µmol L−1 and 0.5 to 38 µmol L−1 were obtained for dipyrone and codeine, respectively, with nanomolar limits of detection for both analytes. The proposed sensor exhibited good stability, satisfactory repeatability and high sensibility in the determination of the analytes of interest. This study examined the feasibility of removing dexamethasone (DEX) from aqueous solutions using molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). The binding energy, used to evaluate the affinity between imprinted molecule and functional monomer, was calculated for DEX using molecular simulation via the density functional theory method. From this approach, three different functional monomers were tested: methacrylic acid, N-(Hydroxymethyl) acrylamide, and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate designated as MIP-DEX1, MIP-DEX2, MIP-DEX3, respectively. The present study reports the development and application of a rapid, low-cost in-situ method for the quantification of tartrazine in carbonated beverages using a smartphone-based colorimetric device with molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP). The MIP was synthesized using the free radical precipitation method with acrylamide (AC) as the functional monomer, N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide (NMBA) as the cross linker, and potassium persulfate (KPS) as radical initiator. (huallpachaqui) procedente de San Juan de Chacña, provincia de Aymaraes, departamento de Apurímac. This work describes the preparation of a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) platform on polyethylene terephthalate (MIP-PET) via RAFT polymerization for analyzing tartrazine using a smartphone. The MIP-PET platform was characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) techniques, Raman Spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and confocal microscopy. The optimal pH and adsorption time conditions were determined. The adsorption capacity of the MIP-PET plates with RAFT treatment (0.057 mg cm−2) was higher than that of the untreated plates (0.028 mg cm−2). The kinetic study revealed a pseudo-first-order model with intraparticle diffusion, while the isotherm study indicated a fit for the Freundlich model. This work reports the fabrication of a novel electrochemical sensor for the detection of the complex ion [Cu(CN)3](aq)2−, one of the main components of the effluents from cyanide alkaline copper plating baths. This sensor was prepared by using a surface modified glassy carbon (GC) electrode with 1,8-dihydroxyantroquinone (1,8-DHAQ). Methylmercury (MeHg+) is a mercury species that is very toxic for humans, and its monitoring and sorption from environmental samples of water are a public health concern. In this work, a combination of theory and experiment was used to rationally synthesize an ion-imprinted polymer (IIP) with the aim of the extraction of MeHg+ from samples of water. Since 2012-2013 influenza season, World Health Organization (who) recommends the formulation of tetravalent vaccines. Globally, many countries already use tetravalent vaccines in their national immunization programs, while in Latin America only a small number. Two Influenza b lineages co-circulate, their epidemiological behavior is unpredictable. On average they represent 22.6% of influenza cases and more than 50% in predominant seasons. The lack of concordance between recommended and circulating strains was 25 and 32% in the 2010-2017 and 2000-2013 seasons, respectively. There are no clinical differences between influenza A and B.
