The objective of this research was to design and validate a pseudoscientific thinking scale. The study is of an instrumental type, whose sample consisted of 686 Peruvian adult participants (42% women). Regarding construct validity, an exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) factor analysis were performed; and for reliability evidence, McDonald’s omega coefficient was used. The results of the EFA showed a unidimensional model of 8 items. The CFA presented an adequate fit, c2(20) = 35.5, CFI = .995, RMSEA = .047, SRMR = .026, TLI = .994 thus confirming the one-dimensional structure with factor loadings between the values of l = .68 and l = .86 (w = .92). Finally, the academic and social implications of this new psychometric instrument are discussed.

This essay presents the ideas of Karl Popper around the problem of truth, objectivity, falsification and deductive logic and how these are related to the theory of Darwinian evolution. The idea of the evolutionary character of Popperian ideas about knowledge, in general, and scientific knowledge in particular, will be defended, with special attention to how Darwin's theory of evolution plays a very important role in the development of an Popperian evolutionary epistemology. It begins with an exposition on Popper's contribution to epistemology and, later, on the role of the Darwinian theory of evolution in the development of a vision of science as a generator of theories and progress through the deductive method.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal revisar la teoría objetivista de la verdad de Karl Popper aplicada al estudio del dimorfismo sexual y la selección sexual en la psicología evolucionista. La investigación tendrá como eje la lectura y análisis sobre la noción de verdad, el conocimiento objetivo y la lógica deductiva de K. Popper, asimismo, se abordarán las teorías e investigaciones actuales sobre dimorfismo sexual y selección sexual en el marco de la psicología evolucionista. El estudio aplicará los criterios popperianos sobre falsación a las teorías sobre el dimorfismo sexual y la selección sexual en el campo de estudio de la psicología evolucionista.

This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Grief Impairment Scale (GIS) using a network psychometric model. A total of 1048 individuals from Peru and El Salvador participated. A network psychometric model was used to determine internal structure, reliability, and cross-country invariance. The results indicate that the GIS items were grouped into a single network structure through Exploratory Graph Analysis. Reliability was estimated by structural consistency, and it was found that when replicating the network structure within an empirical dimension, a single network structure was consistently obtained, and all items remained stable. Furthermore, the network structure was invariant, thus functioning similarly across the different country groups.
