Grupo 1 (control: Halatal), grupo 2 (placebo: agua destilada), grupo 3 (adrenalina), grupo 4 (atropina), grupo 5 (acetilcolina), grupo 6 (propranolol), grupo 7 (chuchuhuasi 500 mg/kg), grupo 8 (chuchuhuasi 1 000 mg/kg) y grupo 9 (chuchuhuasi 1 500 mg/kg).

Introduction: The restrictive measures chosen to reduce COVID-19 infection could maintain and even increase high levels of depression and violence, putting at risk both the fetus and the mother. Objective: To identify the prevalence and factors associated with depression in pregnant Peruvians during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study: Observational-analytical study, with 267 pregnant women in their third trimester of pregnancy. Conducted during the month of January 2021, applying the Edinburgh Scale and the Spanish version of the Index of Spouse Abuse-19 (ISA-19). Findings: 62.17% of pregnant women presented depression and 17.6% spousal violence during pregnancy. Spousal violence, the history of at least one lost pregnancy and planned pregnancy, were associated with depression. Conclusions: Spousal violence increases the prevalence of depression during pregnancy as opposed to a planned pre...

Introduction. COVID-19 infection in high-altitude districts has been a subject of study for several researchers since the incidence and transmission capacity of this virus is lower at higher altitudes. Objective. Compare the lethality of COVID-19 at different altitudes in different districts of Peru. Material and Methods. We conducted a secondary descriptive observational study based on data from the Ministry of Health, we took as a unit of analysis 1874 districts of Peru, taking the fatality rate as the dependent variable. In our main analysis, we developed a crude and cofactor-adjusted linear regression between the COVID-19 case fatality rate per million inhabitants and altitude of residence of the districts of Peru, we also carried out two sensitivity analyzes, to provide different approaches to the problem, adding two multivariate regression models as a sensitivity analysis, all the ...
