The aim of the Case-Control study was to determine the association between bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) and reproductive failure in ewes from a commercial farm in the Central Sierra of Peru. Four hundred and forty ewes from two farm locations were randomly selected into two groups: the Case group (n=220) included barren and aborting ewes, and the Control group formed by ewes without reproductive failures. Blood samples were collected from both groups for testing antibodies against BVDV by the neutralization test. The 69.5 ± 4.4% (306/440) of ewes of both groups had antibodies against BVDV, while 73.6% (162/220) of seropositive ewes were from the Case group and 65.5% (144/ 220) were from the Control group. En el presente trabajo de investigación se utilizó el método de la ruta crítica en donde se calculó el tiempo de finalización del proyecto y la ruta crítica de un proyecto de inversión para la instalación de una planta de conservas de anchoveta. El objetivo es determinar las reducciones del tiempo de finalización del proyecto de inversión para minimizar el costo adicional por reducción. Objective: The main objective is to determine the normal physiological values of heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and hematocrit in populations living at altitudes between 1,000 and 3,500 meters above sea level in the Cajamarca Region during the year 2023. VIA is recommended for triage of HPV-positive women attending cervical screening. In the multicentric ESTAMPA study, VIA performance for detection of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 3 or worse (CIN3+) among HPV-positive women was evaluated. Women aged 30-64 years were screened with HPV testing and cytology and referred to colposcopy if either test was positive. At colposcopy visit, study-trained midwives/nurses/GPs performed VIA ahead of colposcopy. VIA was considered positive if acetowhite lesions were observed in or close to the transformation zone. Ablative treatment eligibility was assessed for VIA positives. Performance indicators were estimated. Three thousand one hundred and forty-two HPV-positive women were included. Despite this strategic role, many national genebanks in the region face technical, financial, and policy barriers that limit the use of genomic tools for characterization and conservation.
