Las tecnologías para convertir la energía de las olas en electricidad aún no están maduras y es necesario conocer las características ambientales de las olas en el área donde se instalarán. Las investigaciones que se ocupan del estudio de la energía undimotriz disponible pretenden reducir la incertidumbre que aún existe en la estimación de la energía undimotriz y su variabilidad. Esta tesis doctoral tiene como objetivo estudiar el recurso energético de las olas para condiciones de mar abierto en la Cuenca marítima peruana. Los métodos utilizados son el espectral, estadístico y numérico. To determinate the wave climate in deep water o˙ the Peruvian coast, instrumental data from satellite and buoys was employed to calibrate wave reanalysis from NCEP for the period 1979 to 2017. Wave data was calibrated using an exponential model described by Minguez et al. (2011). The results shows correlation coe°cient values between 0.7 to 0.9, also BIAS and RMSE showed acceptable values, which indicate a good approximation between both information databases. We have obtained wave information in deep waters which can be used to analyze average an extremely wave regimes to study coastal processes, and study the in˛uence of El NIÑO and La NIÑA phenomenon in the study area. Previous studies have demonstrated that attenuation coefficients can be useful towards characterizing thyroid tissues. In this work, ultrasonic attenuation coefficients were estimated from healthy human thyroids in vivo using a clinical scanner. The selected subjects were five young, healthy volunteers (age: 26 ± 6 years old, gender: three females, two males) with no reported history of thyroid diseases, no palpable thyroid nodules, no smoking habits, and body mass index less than 30 kg/m2. This article presents the procedure that involves the geotechnical-seismic microzonation of the districts of La Perla and San Miguel. These districts are highly exposed to an event similar to the earthquake that occurred in 1746 (Lima), which caused significant loss of life and economic losses. The selection of these districts was due to the variability of the surface materials and the amount of available data. The methodology used by CISMID was used, which involves the collection of geological, geotechnical and geophysical information, the execution of geophysical tests, the processing of the information and the preparation of the seismic microzonation map. Aim: To compare the sealing capacity of mineral trioxide (MTA®) and tricalcium silicate (Biodentine®) for retrograde filling in single-root permanent teeth. Materials and methods: Thirty-eight permanent single-root teeth with complete apical closure were selected and randomly divided into two experimental groups (n = 15): Group 1: MTA®, and Group 2: Biodentine®, in addition to positive and negative controls. Root treatment was performed with the MTWO rotary system, and obturation was carried out by means of the continuous wave thermoplastic system (Beefill) using Grossman-type cement as a sealant.
