This paper analyzes the process of university-industry technology transfer (UITT) and innovation activity among universities in Mexico. The objective of this paper is twofold. First, it presents the main results from the University-Industry Technology Transfer Activity survey in Mexico (UITTAM) (UITTAM, 2018). Second, it investigates the process of UITT activity in Mexico, applying the Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) methods developed by C.C. Ragin (1987, 2000, 2006, 2008). In so doing, the QCA model computed in this research makes use of data released from the UITTAM.

This study examines the gap between universities and companies. It specifically aims to identify relevant cognitive variables according to institutional theory (such as motivations, beliefs, concepts, and perceptions) for the agents studied (in this case, university professors) and quantify these variables. The research focuses on the National Technological University and the programs related to the software industry to explore ways to reduce the gap and improve the relationship between the two sectors.

The contemporary world requires consolidated organizations and institutions with the capacity to adequately fulfill its mission and vision, in which human resource plays a crucial role. Each organization has their uniqueness in organizational culture, it can be managed according to the strategic plan of the same. It is noteworthy that the organizational culture is not formed through speeches, but through strong actions. Similarly, the level of satisfaction of the people who work at the institution, public or private, is an aspect not missed in modern management, while its action depends on the achievement of organizational objectives. The study addressed the relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction of teachers establishment of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of San Marcos, the same which looked upon the recognition of the state of research related to the pro...

The research focuses on designing a strategy for the development of research competence in university students of the Industrial Engineering degree at the UII. The quantitative approach methodology is experimental with an intact natural group and a group with intervention, where the intervention will be to put into practice the Workshop "How to do Research in Engineering" to later apply an evaluative rubric, analyzing the data in Minitab Statistical Software using procedures hypothesis testing and confidence intervals to compare the means of the interventions. The results of the experiment with a p-value of 0.013 show a significant change in the dependent variable: research competence, achieving the design of the strategy for the development of research competence in students of the Industrial Engineering degree at the UII.

The academic performance of students depends on a number of factors, mostly psycological; within which studying habits play an important role, as well as student motivation and locus of control. In this work, a study of the relationship between academic performance, study habits, motivation and locus of control is made; analyzing the impact of the last three variables over the first. For which the survey technique is applied and scales of motivation, study habits and locus of control; analyzing the results with the use of statistical techniques such as correlation analysis, analysis of variance and correlation analysis. The study results show that the study habits and motivation for affiliation and motivation to achieve significant impact on the academic performance of the sample, formed by students of the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering.Keywords.- Academic performance, Stud...

Objective: Propose and develop the Architectural Design of Infrastructure Engineering Professional Racing as a solution to the lack of proper educational infrastructure that allows for comprehensive training become a key factor in the accreditation process. Methodology: The Descripitivo type was applied because no situation is not built, but we observe existing situations, not intentionally provoked by the researcher. Also use experimental research to validate that adequate educational infrastructure is a key determinant in shaping quality of engineering students. Results: The University quality is closely linked to the quality of their spatial configuration. This statement, empirically supported by centuries of architectural excellence in the Institutions of Higher Education, is but a conceptual elongation of a deeper reality: Learn the qualified transmission in any of its sociocultural...

The present upgrading work pretends to be a document that allows the delivering of experiences got by the Industrial Engineering Faculty (FII by its acronyms in Spanish) of the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM by its acronyms in Spanish), to obtain the university accreditation. The factor denominated Academic Processes is analyzed specifically, framed as part of the development of the teaching - learning process under the principle of continuous improvement that finally had the effect to be the first school of Industrial Engineering in Peru in being internationally accredited.

Educational institutions that wish to compete in this globalized world, the need to set standards in quality of services they offer, as their products or processes are not tangible and the quality of them depends on the perception of customers. The objective of this study is to determine the level of quality in academic services in Industrial and Systems Engineering Campus of the University of Caborca Sonora. To obtain feedback from users, the SERVQUALing instrument was used, and by a four-dimensional analysis of factors that explain 62.02% of the total variance of the data is identified. For this study, the level of service is 81.24%, considered very good, requiring analysis necessary to establish an improvement plan.
