In this study the work of induction of microbial carbonate genesis was carried out in order to obtain an improvement in the consolidation of the materials used in construction such as mortars and paving stones, in order to confer them greater resistance and conservation. As a result of the tests carried out, it was found that the inclusion of a bacterial biomass culture formed by bacteria of the genus Bacillus sp., in the formulation of the mortar and paving stones, helped to increase the resistance to compression with Fc values. 266.3 kg/cm2 higher compared to the control of Fc 261.0 kg/cm2. Also, the state of aggregation of the particles improved remarkably, we observed that in the fragmentation tests the structures showed a geometrically more homogeneous grid, compared with the cobbles of the control test. Regarding the texture and roughness aspects, it was proved that the paving ston...

This article presents the construction process and analysis of the psychometric properties of the Postpartum Posttraumatic Stress Inventory (PTSD-PAR). This instrument was administered to 360 women who gave birth in a hospital and 317 who were attended in a clinic. The instrument evidences content validity with Aiken coeffcient scores higher than .80. An exploratory factor analysis was carried where a four-factor model was obtained. In the confirmatory factor analysis, adequate indices of goodness of fit of the model were obtained, therefore, the new dimensions of the test are: negative perception of childbirth, altered mood, cognitive impairment that hinders attachment, and altered alert state. The instrument presents high reliability of stability and internal consistency. Finally, there are significant differences in terms of educational levels, so, in addition to the general scale, sp...

Quinoa is a very important grain for human nutrition; In recent years, several research studies have addressed its nutritional use; However, one of its main weaknesses is its saponin content, which is an anti-nutrient and has a bitter taste. The debittering process involves the principle of recirculation of large quantities of water, with the purpose of reducing the consumption of this substance, it is important to develop methodologies and equipment that improve the efficiency of these traditional washing methods and reduce the work of operators and processors with the intention of making it less costly. The objective of the present research work was to design and build a quinoa de- saponifier , Amarillo Maranganí variety, to evaluate the effect of washing time (5, 10 and 15 min) and the flow of water recirculated by pumping (15, 30 and 45 L/min), on the elimination of saponin to accep...

This study was based on the psycholinguistics and cognitive theory believes that learning to read, candidates must have achieved a level of development in phonological awareness, knowledge of written language, verbal memory and semantic and syntactic levels of language oral. In this article we raised the consideration of these variables as predictors of learning reader in first grade children entering primary schools in the region of Callao. To fulfill that purpose, we designed and validated TEST PRE-READING SKILLS (THP), consisting of four subtests, the first to evaluate phonological awareness, the second, which assesses knowledge of the name and sound of the letters, the third which assesses verbal memory, and finally, the fourth which assesses the syntactic and semantic components of oral language. Reliability was estimated by Cronbach’s alpha and Spearman-Brown coefficient. Was det...

Suicide is a serious and significant public health problem, representing the loss of 720,000 lives each year. However, it is one of the most preventable deaths. The aim of this research was to develop a 24-item test that assesses self-efficacy in the management of suicidal crises, which was applied to an accidental sample of 488 participants, community agents from a private higher education institution in Peru. Among evidence-based interventions, one of the most important is training in suicide risk management for community agents. In this context, self-efficacy is a factor that can favor the performance of these agents, which is why it is relevant that an intervention impacts the perceived self-efficacy of the participants and to have adequate instruments to measure it. As a result of the psychometric analyses, the final 18-item scale showed good fit to the Rasch model, evidence of unid...

The Rorschach test has considerable potential to contribute to the study of cognitive processes, especially the representational world and of how individuals construct meaning. The representation of self and other is currently a major topic in attachment research and in social cognition and is very relevant for clinical psychology and psychiatry because it provides a way of understanding psychopathology that goes beyond the simple listing of manifest symptoms that is so prevalent today in descriptive psychiatry. This new emphasis on mental representation should enable us to extend our understanding of psychopathology and to discover new ways of systematically assessing a wide range of psychological disturbances.

Purpose: This paper aims to provide empirical evidence for using the prospect theory (PT) basic assumptions in the Argentine context. Mainly, this study analysed the financial decision-making process in students of the economic-administrative academic area of two universities, one public and one private, in Córdoba. Design/methodology/approach. The analysis methodology included (1) the descriptive statistical analysis to identify the presence of the certainty, reflection and isolation effects; (2) the construction of a set of indicators on the application of the PT; (3) the chi-squared independence test, to determine if the decisions made are independent of the degree course taken; (4) the non-parametric Kruskal–Wallis test, to determine if the decisions made by individuals vary according to the semesters taken or students' levels of progress; and (5) the non-parametric Mann–Whitney...

The purpose of the present study was to construct a brief scale of psychological well-being in the university context, in a preliminary phase. For this purpose, 417 students from the faculty of education of a public university in Lima, of both sexes, aged between 17 and 35 years (M = 23, S.D. = 1.86), participated in the study. We worked with the topics of Mental Health (MH) and Family and Interpersonal Relations (FR). The method was instrumental, with a scale of 35 items and seven components, approved by five experts through Aiken's V statistic, with three evaluation criteria (V = .83, 1.00). The items went through different analysis processes in parameter estimations with the two-logistic parameter model (2LP) of the Item Response Theory (IRT), in contrast with indicators of the Classical Test Theory (CTT), from the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and internal consistency measures. ...

Dry Stone retaining walls, DSRW, are low-cost traditional structures made of stones aimed to stabilize, support backfill and avoid soil erosion. They have massively been used as foundation of dwellings by vulnerable population located in the steeped hills surrounding some Latin-American cities. These walls are built following ancient techniques that are neither well studied nor formally established. Millions of people live in these conditions in seismic zones generating a high-risk situation. Experimental and numerical studies are needed in order to evaluate the reliability of low-cost DSRW and to validate or improve traditional techniques. The objective of this ongoing research is to design and construct a full-scale testing equipment to assess DSRW performance against lateral out-of-plane seismic forces. The methodology consists in the following steps: (1) Review of state-of-art of exp...

What is it like to live without questioning the meaning of existence? This document proposes how something as common and chaotic as existential crises can find transformation and change through drama therapy. This therapeutic tool facilitates emotional expression through drama (acting, play, dramaturgy, masks, among other elements of theatrical art) and generates powerful introspection processes in participants through their self-awareness, through provocative questions posed by the drama therapist. The social symptoms of existential emptiness end up generating emotional difficulties that can even lead to the loss of life for those who experience them. For this reason, it is decided to work with young people, as they are the population most affected by this problem. In other words, drama therapy aims to propose a path that approaches the construction of the purpose for which young people...

The construction sector is searching for new technologies, such as drones, that prove helpful for the surveillance and supervision of construction sites, especially in pandemic situations. This research proposes designing flight planning models to optimize flight time and speed. The main objective is to develop a model that allows multiple drones to carry out supervision tasks in construction areas. In this regard, it presents a dynamic programming model and a metaheuristic based on genetic algorithms, both applied for optimizing flight plans with multiple drones. The development process involves planning the route that the drones will follow by formulating the problem with the corresponding parameters. The next step is to generate a model for the dynamic programming algorithm, which is then validated using a genetic algorithm. The proposals implemented in Python were tested in 14 scenar...
