What we have in Peru at the beginning of the XXIst century is a formal and not a real nationState. It did not let the market to perform efficiently; neither did it properly satisfy the demands of the majority of the people. This led to the State’s loss of legitimacy. This can be explained by the lack of a political elite capable of putting forward a long-term project to the country. The reversal of that deficit works on the premise that the historical project will contribute decisively in the nation-building process only if it accomplishes to carrying out the essential interests of the population and to safeguard the strategic interests of the country.

This academic paper analyzes and underscores the importance of regulating the temporal element in contracts entered into for the execution of public-private partnership (PPP) projects. It further seeks to explain how this element is often shaped by extra-legal factors, emphasizing that the timeframes established for the duration of such collaborative contracts –and for their specific execution deadlines– must be grounded in reasonable and objective justifications. This paper studies the resemantization and meaning determination of the Quechua terms chaka, chakana and chakata. The research focuses on the explanation of the morphological structure. In the procedure we start from the work of the Lexicon of 1560 where we find the term chakata with the meaning of cross. The philological-hermeneutic method and the use of Quechua dictionaries were chosen for the work. As a result of the analysis, the term chakata has chaka as lexeme, which indicates the base element that makes «X» elements cross. Chakana would be the object with which the entities are crossed. Finally, the word chakata, agglutinates the suffix -ta with meaning ‘inter’ or ‘between’, being the word as a whole chakatay ‘to cross’. Background: In January 2020, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) «a public health emergency of international concern» owing to the detection of cases and the rapid spread of the disease. Objective: This study aimed at understanding the social representations of COVID-19 among Brazilian elderly women. Method: A total of 100 elderly women selected by convenience sampling, with an average age of 69.24 years old (SD = 6.58), participated in the study. Tailings dams are complex geotechnical structures that require a thorough analysis of their stability. The traditional method for assessing stability, the Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM), focuses on calculating the factor of safety (FS), but omits critical aspects such as the stress distribution along the regrowth process. The finite element method (FEM), based on the strength reduction technique (SSR), is an alternative that allows calculating the FS and understanding the real behavior of the slope, by analysing stresses along the different raises stage. Se analizaron las representaciones sociales de la justicia de estudiantes colombianos inscritos desde segundo grado de básica primaria hasta el último año de escolaridad secundaria, su nivel de estructuración y sus similitudes y diferencias en función del grado y el estrato socioeconómico. Desde una perspectiva estructural, se administró una técnica de asociación de palabras a 950 participantes (481 niñas y 469 niños) con el término inductor justicia. Los resultados mostraron que existen diferencias en la estructura de la representación de la justicia en función del estrato socioeconómico. Social representations of justice of Colombian students enrolled from second grade of primary school to the last year of secondary schooling were analyzed. the level of structuring of these representations was established and their similarities and differences were identified according to the school grade and socioeconomic level. From a structural perspective, a word association technique was administered to 950 participants (481 girls and 469 boys) with the term justice inducer. The results showed that there are differences in the structure of the representation of justice depending on the socioeconomic stratum. Este artículo analiza la expresión del miedo en Instagram, a partir de examinar publicaciones que utilizan el término miedo a modo de hashtag, dentro del texto o mediante elementos visuales. La investigación se enmarca en un proyecto más amplio orientado a comprender la construcción social del miedo a través de su manifestación lingüística. Su relevancia se fundamenta en la premisa de que comprender el miedo contribuye a reducir sus efectos dañinos.
