Edge detection is a digital image processing tool. It determines points in a digital image where light intensity suddenly changes. This process applies to a digital image which assumes some degree of uncertainty in the location and intensity of the pixel in the real image. In this work, we propose an edge detection model which consists in capturing this uncertainty in terms of interval images. Then we apply interval-valued fuzzy morphology to calculate the interval-valued erosion and dilation. Finally, we compute the convex combinations of the upper and lower bounds of the interval-valued erosion and dilation image, to obtain a morphological erosion and dilation respectively, and thus an edge image.

In modern industry, electric motors are essential components in a wide range of applications, from manufacturing production to transportation and power generation. These motors are critical in industrial machinery and equipment, and their proper functioning is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and productivity. However, motors are susceptible to various types of faults that can be costly in terms of downtime, production loss, and repair expenses. Early detection of these faults is essential to prevent unscheduled shutdowns, reduce maintenance costs, and avoid workplace accidents. This paper proposes a low-cost, real-time fault detection system for motors placed on the Non-Drive End based on neural networks, aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing maintenance costs in the industry.

It is the task of the university teacher to provide the necessary conditions to develop critical thinking by using strategies that place the student as the basis of teaching work. The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the level of critical thinking and the level of learning of mathematics of students entering university. Incomes that are received by economic agents by means of selling part of their stocks in commodities, raw materials and production factors may be kept inside the domestic economic system or allowed to get away from it. The present article will show how in a system that is built over some definite decreasing (or at least non increasing) marginal productivity production functions, exogenous stimulus that might generate some demanding on final consumption goods, altogether with the consideration of a limit in household monetary spending in domestic final products, conduct to the shaping of one certain mathematical expression that is to connect gross domestic value with the above mentioned stimulus. In a second stage, diverse applications and extensions of the model are performed, in order to discuss some interesting subjects in economic theory.

The relationship between executive functions (EF), creative personality, and academic performance in Argentine university students was examined. A total of 248 students (M = 22.97 years, SD = 4.43) from various Argentine provinces participated. The Adult Executive Functioning Inventory (ADEXI), the Cognitive Flexibility Scale, the Creative Behavior Scale (ECC), and the Creative Personality Scale (EPC) were used, along with academic performance data and sociodemographic information. Data were collected online through Google Forms and analyzed using Spearman correlations and mediation analysis with robust Maximum Likelihood estimator and Bootstrap. It is often attributed to Aquinas the thesis that existence, unlike essence, cannot be the object of conceptualization. Arguably, without a concept of existence, Aquinas offers an interpretation of existential propositions which closely resemble the modern analytic analysis. Accordingly, when wesay ‘P exists’, we attribute no property or special attribute to P. The purpose of this article is to show that for Thomas Aquinas, existence, like essence, can be the object of conceptualization nd functions as a real predicate. To that end, I base myself on Aquinas’ theory of signification.

The arapaima, also known as paiche or pirarucu is one of the largest freshwater fish in the Amazon, in which its cultivation has been growing progressively due to consumer demand. This research presents the design of a real-time monitoring and control system of water parameters for paiche farming, which employs mechatronics concepts using the Vdl- 2206 methodology. The study controls and monitors the water's temperature, dissolved oxygen, and pH. Sensors obtain the values for each parameter, process them by a PLC, and project them on an HMI interface. Teleosemantic is the theory that proposes an explanation of mental representation on the basis of the Darwinian theory of biological function. Although Darwin explains biological traits for both historical and adaptationist causes, Papineau and other proponents of teleosemantic rely only on the adaptationist dimension of the theory to account for the identity of the biological trait. This is shown in the teleosemantic response to the possibility that an exact duplicate of a human arose from non-evolutionary causes (the swampman).
