The resolution of triangular systems is a computational nucleus widely used in various scientific applications. This research performs the implementation and comparison of several parallel algorithms against an efficient sequential algorithm for solving triangular systems. The algorithms are distinguished by the way of partitioning the matrix and the allocation to the processors. The analysis of the behavior of the algorithms is performed in the solution of systems of linear superior triangular equations in a cluster of computers. For this, the arithmetic time, communication time, speed-up, and maximum efficiency metrics are taken into account. Experiments were performed for each algorithm with different matrix sizes on various processors. The algorithm with the best results was the one that blocks the rows of the matrix and applies a cyclical distribution in the cluster.

Recurrent flooding in the mining works, deficiencies in the operation of pumps, unforeseen stoppages, and lack of water availability in the processes, affect the operations in the subway mine. The traditional solution adopted is to wait for maintenance times for its post evacuation, generating stoppages, consumption of water from the wells and inefficiency in the daily water demand. Therefore, this article presents a new approach that will expand the traditional methods by introducing a prediction model using probabilistic methods. This approach will allow the design of an optimal water distribution system, the efficient control in the maintenance and covering of the recirculated water demand inside the mine. El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es dar a conocer que las matrices y los sistemas de ecuaciones lineales es un campo de estudio del Álgebra Lineal, curso que se imparte en la universidad a todos aquellos que estudian educación matemática, ciencias e ingeniería. The research is based on the problems encountered in the production process of companies in the metalworking sector. The problem arises from the low availability of machines in the production process due to working conditions (39.5%), poor maintenance management (40.3%) and poor-quality control (20.2%) that generate low profitability for business. As a solution, Lean Manufacturing tools are implemented to improve the process and increase profitability. The improvement proposal consists of a series of stages: first, the definition of indicators for the measurement of the variables; then, the design and implementation of a pilot in the production process and, in parallel, a simulation system will be designed to evaluate the long-term results.
