The report addresses the management of parallel processes and synchronization in concurrent systems, highlighting common problems in accessing shared resources that affect efficiency and stability. It also highlights the need to optimize the management of large volumes of data and improve academic cooperation to develop advanced solutions.The objective of the study is to identify and analyze synchronization strategies that optimize parallel processes, evaluating their effectiveness in different scenarios and offering recommendations based on recent literature. Nowadays, some of the most popular tools for parallel programming are Message Passing Interface and Open Multi-Processing. It is of interest to compare these tools in solving the same kind of problems, because of the use of different approaches to inter-task communication. This work attempts to contribute to this goal by running trials in a centralized shared memory architecture in the case of problems with an entirely parallel solution. The selected case study was the parallel computation of Mandelbrot set. Trials were conducted for different iteration limits, processors amount, and C++ implementation variants. The results show better performance in the case of Open Multi-Processing.

This paper initially describes aspects of the modeling of structures equipped with energy dissipators Shear Link Bozzo (SLB) and develops two iterative design procedures to select these devices. This methodology is applied to a precast 5-story reinforced concrete building. The SLB energy dissipation devices are initially stiff, but ductile with a range of yielding forces from 36 kN to 900 kN characterized by 52 + 52 standard devices. Moreover, these devices can be combined in parallel giving a very wide range of possibilities for selection and corresponding structural response. Therefore, to simplify its automatic selection, this article presents two procedures: (1) direct iteration and (2) inverse or fixed force iteration. The solution of Laplace's equation within a Classical Electrodynamics course is fundamental for the understanding of boundary problems in Electrostatics. In the present research work the analytical and numerical solution is obtained by the relaxation method, of a problem of infinite parallel plates, of the Laplace equation in Cartesian coordinates in an Euclidean space of two dimensions, specifically using the Python programming language, for its use in the teaching of Physics and its better phenomenological understanding. Likewise, the solutions obtained by both solution techniques are compared and discussed.

Introduction: Overweight negatively impacts the cardiovascular system and osteomyoarticular, promoting pain in the joints of the lower limbs. Therefore, strategies have been applied to reduce overweight through lifestyle changes. Objective: to investigate the effects of two multidisciplinary intervention programs on the health-related physical fitness of obese women with pain symptoms in the knees. Methods: Women between 40 and 59 years of age with obesity (n=59) were evaluated in the pre- and post-intervention time regarding anthropometry, body composition, physical fitness, level of disability in the knee and hip, and health-related quality of life. This paper studies the criminal liability of legal persons, which has suffered a deep reform with the organic law 1/2015, after being introduced in Spain in 2010. This reform has brought important modifications and news, as the creation of an exemption of liability through the adoption of compliance programs, which supposes a change in the so called model of transfer of liability, that existed before. Parallel to this transformation in the Spanish criminal code, in Peru recently the law 30424 has come into forth, which contents a corporate liability model, very similar to the one foreseen in Spain. Both models of liability and the possibility of its exemption raise doubts about if they really tried to penalize legal persons or not.

Se enfoca en el problema de la programación a gran escala, donde el número de trabajos es muy grande y mucho mayor que el número de recursos. La solución consiste en asignar y secuenciar los trabajos en los recursos, de modo tal, que se logren terminar a tiempo o con el menor atraso posible. A significant number of projects specifically oriented to the promotion of rural women are currently being developed throughout the country. Parallel to the programs implemented by the public sector (CIPA, Ministry of Labor and Social Promotion), non-governmental organizations have designed localized coverage actions aimed at serving this sector of the population. Various events in recent years have brought together the promoters involved in these actions and through discussions and workshops a common problem has begun to be configured for this type of action. Our intention here is to evoke some of the converging problems detected and outline some guidelines that allow us to fine-tune the approaches of the projects and optimize the impact of the actions.

An assessment of part of a family planning program is presented in a social environment characterized by high fertility, low contraceptive use and knowledge and great interest in information and practice of family planning methods. Accidental pregnancy rates and subsequent expulsions are similar to those found in urban environments and sea level.
