The article seeks to establish, to some extent, the concepts of the teaching that faculty handles. Also, it tries to demystify some “truths” and stereotypes about teaching and that some sectors of the university teachers are still expressing. It also stresses the fact that for exercise teaching it is required a prior preparation since the intuitive education now is not only inappropriate but even dangerous. University teachers need a double profession: the profession itself and that provided by specific teacher preparation for aspects of teaching and pedagogy. Finally, it clearly differentiates the various levels of intervention in the classroom: the presentation, the giving of classes and teaching, stating clearly that to give classes and teaching is not the same thing. The first is often amateurish work obliged and the second is effective and illustrated expertise.

Given the lack of regulation about the protection of collective rights in Peru, the main goal of this investigation is to show what should be some elements of the content of a due collective process. Thus each of its elements is studied taking into account the Peruvian jurisprudence and legislation.

The article analyzes the complex relationship between cultural selection of curriculum and the diverse nature of the societies in which it is inserted. From a qualitative approach, we analyze the teachers’ discourses of the Metropolitan Region about their representations on the political issues and the Politics and on the importance of curriculum and its possibilities for the attention to the diversity from the formation in citizenship. Results show the lack of problematization of diversity in this area. New contemporary phenomena such as valuing diversity require greater attention in the current processes of curriculum design for democratic coexistence.

Communication for development (CfD) is a discipline that seeks to promote social change through the strategic use of media and participatory dialogue. However, there is a paucity of studies that systematically and critically analyze the social processes underlying CfD interventions and their impact on the social significance of beneficiary communities. This article presents a narrative review of the literature on CfD, with the aim of identifying the main theoretical and methodological approaches that have addressed this topic, as well as the main limitations and challenges facing research in this field. Thirty-five articles published between 2018 and 2023 were analyzed, selected through a search in the Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Redalyc and Latindex databases. The results show that most of the studies adopt a qualitative and participatory perspective, focused on the analysis of spec...

The application of different unit root statistics is by now a standard practice in empirical work. Even when it is a practical issue, these statistics have complex nonstandard distributions depending on functionals of certain stochastic processes, and their derivations represent a barrier even for many theoretical econometricians. These derivations are based on rigorous and fundamental statistical tools which are not (very) well known by standard econometricians. This paper aims to fill this gap by explaining in a simple way one of these fundamental tools: namely, the Functional Central Limit Theorem. To this end, this paper analyzes the foundations and applicability of two versions of the Functional Central Limit Theorem within the framework of a unit root with a structural break. Initial attention is focused on the probabilistic structure of the time series to be considered. Thereafter...

This paper addresses some of the impacts that technologies will have on law in the not so distant future. In order to do so, I first address, by way of introduction, and in a didactic manner, one of the latest disruptive events of artificial intelligence in e-sports. I then use this short introduction to make some analogies in law. I then focus on the automation of legal tasks and raise the possibility of distinguishing between total automation and the automation of certain legal activities, with emphasis on the intelligent search of normative material as one of the most significant advances. Having said that, I go on to briefly analyze the situation of legal education in Peru and review whether there is any interest in technology. Finally, I argue about some alternatives to cushion the impact of artificial intelligence and new technologies in legal education. To this end, I propose the ...

This paper discusses the challenges faced by the aggrieved party or civil actor in the processes of early termination in the Peruvian criminal system. The mandatory intervention of the aggrieved party in the negotiation phase can affect the efficiency sought by negotiated justice, which drives the proposal to limit this preliminary phase to negotiations between the prosecutor and the defendant. The author suggests that the aggrieved party’s intervention should be restricted to the hearing addressing exclusively civil reparation, thereby ensuring their right to be heard without obstructing the criminal process. However, this restriction could raise questions about the effective judicial protection of the aggrieved party. Finally, the author concludes that greater autonomy in the initial negotiation, along with compe...

Positive psychology, considered as a new vision within psychology, arises with the expectation of knowing the characteristics, processes, and conditions of the optimal functioning of people. This is used to promote a full and meaningful life from the individual perspective to the social projection. This article provides a theoretical-practical analysis of the concepts and applications related to the positive psychology approach; which is addressed from the field of education by promoting a teaching-learning process from and to happiness. Establishing an educational path from and to happiness would imply on the part of the educators a personal commitment to know themselves, to have values, and to pursue goals.

The article presented here is the result of an anthropological approach to urban populations belonging to the middle and marginalized sectors in eight Mexican states, which we carried out for the Secretary of Health in 1994. This research was carried out in parallel to the second National Survey of Health (ENSA-11), seeking to delve into the meanings that mediate the processes of use of the different health services to which these social sectors have access.

This article seeks to be a source of knowledge and help students and teachers, from the synthesis of the personal college student’s experience in developing their learning to the teaching of natural sciences at the secondary level. In addition, during the development of this article, there are some of the advantages and limitations encountered at this stage of studies contrasted with the reality of education in our country, and it provides a global vision and a neutral point of view about the problems faced by many students during the university life, which often has not been able to be transmitted in its entirety, however, through this document it seeks to break these patterns and improve communication between the authorities and students.

How the “leap” of the data, to the abstract discourse of interpretation and analysis, occurs in Social Anthropology, is a perennialepistemological and methodological question in the social sciences. The multivocality and historicity of the response, always plural, shows that the social sciences are also subject to the accidents of becoming, intersubjectivity, criticism, and historical processes, which affect the legitimacy of discourse. Notwithstanding this, and since extreme relativism is unacceptable, it can be acceptedthat there are certain methodological and epistemological problems that can be recognized, and that deserve to be overcome, inorder to avoid incurring in epistemological inconsistencies. Thus, what this text develops, as a pertinent exercise, is to point outand elucidate some of those let’s call them epistemological-methodological problems, which continuously occur a...

This paper presents a critical analysis of the process of civil codification in Peru. To this end, the author analyses three relevant aspects of this problem: the approach or general vision of codification, the legislative technique and the working method. With regard to the initial point, it is asserted that a code must reflect the social reality, be aligned with the needs of this reality, and avoid becoming a mere instrument of academic debate. With regard to the legislative technique, the importation of foreign norms that are not compatible with the local context is questioned. Consequently, the integration of foreign legislation should be conducted with an understanding of the objectives and context in which they were created, and with an adaptation to the judicial reality of the receiving country. Finally, the methodology employed in the codification process is discussed. The author...

The aim of this article is to offer a bibliographical review of the main editions that the journal Letras (Lima) has published since its foundation (1929). To this end, following documentary-methods, we review some of the most important milestones in the trajectory of this journal. First, we look at the first issue of the journal. We review the content published, as well as the imprint it established with its origin. Second, we situate the journal Letras (Lima) within the tradition of academic journals published at the UNMSM in contrast to some nineteenth-century journals and its current situation. Third, we comment on the nature of the thematic issues and how these are a valuable option for future editions of the journal, as well as the changes in the periodization of Letras (Lima). We also comment on the importance of indexing in Scopus and WOS (ESCI) as part of an extensive process of...

In the intricate process of translating The Complete Poetry of César Vallejo into Japanese, which was published in 2016 by the Gendai Kikakushitsu Publishing House in Tokyo, the most difficult challenge for the translator was, without doubt, the reproduction of the poetic language of The Blacks Heralds, because in this collection of poems, our poet is still looking for his own style, sometimes imitating the existing currents such as Spanish American modernismo. In contrast to the post-Trilce works of Vallejo, for which the translator could invent his own style «closed in itself», The Blacks Heralds, required him to access several corpus of the modern Japanese expression —the vocabulary of Japanese poets of the same period as The Blacks Heralds, and even the Japanese translated versions of Western poetry— to reproduce the complex poetic formation which beats in the book.

Psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy has interpreted countertransference as an obstacle to the therapeutic process. Since Freud, the central tradition of psychoanalysis has insisted on the need to control and isolate the therapist’s subjectivity from the analytical field, promoting an attitude characterized by professional neutrality, anonymity, and abstinence. Relational psychoanalysis critiques this old idea, arguing that the subjective life of the psychotherapist, including his countertransference reactions, constitutes a fundamental ingredient of any treatment and that it cannot and should not be dissociated from the therapeutic encounter. This paper addresses some of the relational theorists’ main ideas about countertransference’s nature and function in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. This article reviews the main relational criticisms towards the ideal of analytic neutrali...

Tourism is considered a way out of poverty and a generator of contexts of social vulnerability because it develops in diverse contexts and territorial conditions, which generate results ambivalent. In Latin America, social structures and inequities increase the vulnerability of host communities, which is why the impacts of tourism are not always beneficial. This article analyzes the transformation processes that emerge because of the configuration of tourist destinations and their complex interrelationships and impacts. The review was carried out from searches of cases in Latin American in the SCOPUS database, then a case in Mexico and Colombia was selected to deepen these transformations. The study made it possible to identify that the impacts most referenced in the research are negative,  particularly related to the destruction and loss of resilience ...
