Communication for development (CfD) is a discipline that seeks to promote social change through the strategic use of media and participatory dialogue. However, there is a paucity of studies that systematically and critically analyze the social processes underlying CfD interventions and their impact on the social significance of beneficiary communities. This article presents a narrative review of the literature on CfD, with the aim of identifying the main theoretical and methodological approaches that have addressed this topic, as well as the main limitations and challenges facing research in this field. Thirty-five articles published between 2018 and 2023 were analyzed, selected through a search in the Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO, Redalyc and Latindex databases. The results show that most of the studies adopt a qualitative and participatory perspective, focused on the analysis of spec...

According to the indigenous population of the Peruvian Amazon, the 20th century constituded a period of great changes. Jn the first decades, important events took place during the rubber period; in the following decades, and as a consequence of the previous events, the indigenous populations began to migrate and have contact with foreign populations. Halfway into the last century, the ashaninka population from High Perene (Chanchamayo-Junin) went through several changes, such as social, economic, and linguistic. Linguisticly, there was competition between Ashaninka-Spanish bilinguism and Ashaninka monolinguism. Jn the 70s and with the beginning of native communities (CCNN), schools were built, institutions of the official system of education, in which new methods were applied. The objective of the present paper is to contribute to the debate that will allow us to deepen the analysis of why the separation between ethics and economic science has led us to forget the altruistic dimension of human being and consider only its selfish dimension, the same that has shaped a global economic system with problems of inequality, poverty, social exclusion and environmental disarray. The critical analysis of the various reviewed documents in relation to this debate and the resulting indicators, lead us to raise the importance of social entrepreneurship, linked to the achievement of a more fair economic system where ethics and economy are inextricably linked. Social entrepreneurship is emerging as a response to the problems that the model of global capitalism is generating to the population and to fill the vacuum of weak social policies of governments focusing on policies of...

Today X has become one of the most important socialnetworks for expressing opinions and interests on the web.The large amount of data generated allows automatedsystems to profile users based on gender, nationality andthematic interests. There are difficulties in this process notonly because of the short content, but also because of theambiguity and the use of several languages. The goal of this proposal is to generate a deep learningmodel using BERT that is able to identify demographic andthematic attributes from tweets. Pre-trained models of theBERT and Multilingual BERT type will be used, applied on PAN Author Profiling Task (CLEF 2019) corpora in English and Spanish. The proposed work will deepen the analysis using supervised classification data for gender and nationality classification and topic extraction through unsupervised techniques, such as LDA and BERTopic. These options include...

Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence that uses scientific computing, mathematics and statistics through automated techniques to solve problems based on classification, regression and clustering. Social demand refers to the need for service and product of the professional training process, expressed by interest groups, aimed at contributing to national development, as established by the quality assurance policy of university higher education and national licensing and accreditation models. In this context, this paper conducts research based on job positions of IT professionals posted n web portals, designs a machine learning process with an unsupervised approach, extracts occupational profiles, designs a multidimensional model, applies k-means clustering when determining clusters of job positions by similarity, and reports the results obtained.

This contribution analyzes the role fulfilled by International Labor Standards and, specifically, by social clauses in Free Trade Conventions and Agreements, as a way of preventing social dumping and building a social dimension in the globalization and regionalization of economy. The author offers the case of the MERCOSUR Labor and Social Declaration, issued in 2015, which amends that of the year 1998, studying its contents, legal efficacy and supervision mechanisms. He emphasizes the fact that social charters generally limit themselves to recognizing fundamental or basic labor rights already found in the legislation of the member countries, but which are nonetheless useful for hindering attempts to deregulate or relax social and labor provisions.

This research evaluates the relationship of social capital with the integration of processes in the supply chain management in companies of the real sector in Colombia, mediated by their organizational size and the uncertainty of the environment. For this purpose, 232 companies associated to the real sector in Colombia were surveyed and with the information obtained, multivariate analysis of structural equations was made with the SPSS and AMOS tools. As a result, there is a significant direct relationship between social capital and the integration of processes in the supply chain management, thus social capital was identified as a fundamental determinant in efforts to integrate the supply chain, unlike the mediating variables analyzed (size and uncertainty of the environment).
