The traditional view of transitivity is based on the fact that the language has both transitive and intransitive verbs. On this basis, in transitive clauses there is an action of transference from a subject to an object. According to this statement, the transitive verb is the one that denotes events about the object, either an action on it or a change of state of it. However, studies subsequent to this perspective, carried out by Hopper and Thompson (1980) disagree with the above and propose that transitivity does not respond to a simple transference from the subject to the object. For the authors, transitivity is a property of languages characterized by the fulfillment of certain parameters, which indicate the greater or lesser degree of transitivity of clauses within a discursive context. The present study aims to describe the morphosyntactic characteristics that show a higher degree o...

In this work we will show some lexical elements of the Quechua language that are found in the Ashaninka vocabulary. Due to the fact that this study may be one of the first approximations to the linguistic contact phenomenon between Quechua and Ashaninka, it won’t be specified which dialect of Quechua produced such linguistic contact. The lexical elements waripa, sonqo, and ashka from the Quechua language would have been incorporated into the Ashaninka vocabulary as linguistic adoptions. Furthermore, the contact between Ashaninka and Spanish in more recent times would have made possible the borrowing from Ashaninka to Spanish. For example, words such as “sable” and “cuchillo” would have its origins in the Ashaninka words “sabiri” and “kotsiro”.

According to the indigenous population of the Peruvian Amazon, the 20th century constituded a period of great changes. Jn the first decades, important events took place during the rubber period; in the following decades, and as a consequence of the previous events, the indigenous populations began to migrate and have contact with foreign populations. Halfway into the last century, the ashaninka population from High Perene (Chanchamayo-Junin) went through several changes, such as social, economic, and linguistic. Linguisticly, there was competition between Ashaninka-Spanish bilinguism and Ashaninka monolinguism. Jn the 70s and with the beginning of native communities (CCNN), schools were built, institutions of the official system of education, in which new methods were applied. Is in this context that written Spanish becomes a new activity assumed by the ashaninka population.

The outstanding scholar of the indigenous cultures of the Amazon, Claude Lévi-Strauss carried out his field research in the Brazilian Amazon around the thirties in the last century. The expedition in which he embarks, departs from Marseille (France) aboard the ship "Capitaine Paul-Lemerle" which, starting from the Mediterranean, following the small islands of the Caribbean, will take him to Sao Paulo (Brazil). Lévi-Strauss' penchant for socio-cultural facts led him to the Matto Grosso area in southwestern Brazil.

This article provides the most important results of an investigation carried out in 2017 in the Ayacucho region that had the objective of determining the theoretical and methodological guidelines necessary for a teaching method of Quechua for receptive bilinguals in Quechua from this region. This objective led us to carry out a state of the question on the studies of Quechua linguistics, linguistic application, applied linguistics and sociocultural studies on Andean communities that serve as the basis for such guidelines. Additionally, this review allowed us to show the need for new descriptive studies of the Quechua language and aspects of language planning of this language.
