The aim of this research is to describe how the virtual learning environments that integrate 3D simulations encourage communication, interaction and collaboration of students. This research uses a qualitative methodology based on the systematic observation. The results show that students - based on experience in 3D simulation environments - become active agents in the construction of their learning process. The 3D simulationenvironments with pedagogical mediation encourage communication and interaction of students in the context of the teaching sequence promoting the learning of students, and generating two types of communication: interaction between participant and object 3D; and interaction between participants that develops spontaneously and in larger quantities.

This paper presents an investigation of the extraction of essential oils by steam distillation. The process is analyzed and a model is developed for the extraction of essential oil of eucalyptus in pilot scale with a steam flow of 5.73 g / min. According to the model Dunckhorst-Houghton, which considers the effect of axial dispersion, and the use of optimization procedures to establish the model parameters, excellent agreement was obtained between the amount of oil extracted theoretical and experimental.

Over the last years, using phenomena models in interpreting and designing of software in metallurgical processes has been increasing. In this present research, a series of experimental test with polymetallic minerals is shown, which have been submitted to Flotation, Filtration, Leaching and Sedimentation processes. Mathematic modelling of such processes is shown, as well as the processing and simulation of the experimental data through the respective models. It is intended to contrast them with data from metallurgical plants for their respective validations. All these results will be used for a better planning and control of industrial variables in a concentrating plant.

This paper considers the proposal, development and numerical simulation of a system that models the behavior of the treatment of HIV-1 using antiretrovirals. The system defined for three dependent variables of the variable t, denoted by X(t)=(x1 (t), x2 (t), x3 (t)) represent the amount of T Lymphocytes "Helpers" (CD4), number of Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes (CD8) Viral load and infection process of HIV-1 at any time t, respectively. The assembly consists of a Nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations system whose existential domain represents time system evaluation process of infection and viral clearance in a patient with HIV-1. Currently there is a wide range of software to simulate robotic cell and interact with a process. This article details the procedure to simulate and program a robotic system of classification of items using the software Cosimir Educational. The project includes a window model, positions and programming. Programming is performed using the language Mitsubishi Robot Language (MRL), which is simple but with enough capacity to perform tasks with the robot. This language has commands for movement control, counters, timers, subroutines, loops and incorporates input and output signals.

They took as indicators to evaluate the acting of the system; the level of service that perform the center, the time of answer, so much in the reception as the despatch and the operative costs. With the simulation model they were executed a series of experiments; as the plant layout of the warehouse, modifications in the reception processes and shipping, obtaining this way a configuration that the yield of the system increases in study in approximately 40%.

La importancia de implementar un adecuado proceso de gestión de la demanda y el inventario mejora la coordinación en los modelos de cadena de suministro. El propósito de esta investigación es analizar y proponer la aplicación de una técnica de pronóstico y la implementación de una política de revisión continua de inventario mediante el diseño de una simulación para una empresa del sector comercial veterinario. Actualmente, las empresas sin esta coordinación obtienen un nivel de inventario inadecuado generando pérdidas en las utilidades y un bajo nivel de demanda de servicio. Este estudio presenta como resultado un modelo de optimización basado en la técnica ARIMA y un modelo de inventario simulado en el software Arena.

This study analyzes the mechanisms which cause the increment of viscosities in the residuals of heavy oil during the process of transfer and transport. lt has been determined that the increment is dueto the loss of the viscoreducer which is cause by vaporization. These loss of viscosity is a double logarithmic function of the concentration (expressed in volume) of the viscoreducer. lt is recommended to establish a norm of quality control of residuals to achieve a bener behaviour of the product, determining the temperature of 6% of volume and the viscosities from this cut at 1002F and 210°F.

Currently, textile processing plants need to control the conditions associated with the spinning process, being the air conditioning of working environments an important factor in the quality and productivity of these processes. The benefits obtained from the optimization of this air conditioning help to guide a lower energy consumption, helping to improve the positioning of the products and providing profitability in the operation processes.
