There is at present in Peru an important concern in the knowledge society to respond to the demands of the productive sector already that during these last decades the specialties in each college were introduced on the initiative of the teachers, without any study of the labor market or the needs of the different regions, nor of the contributions of the industrial engineers to secondary education directly or indirectly. Currently not enough to have manual skills, but a set of capabilities that graduates will enable them to solve problems and perform in different posts or create their own businesses. The current approach that gives the education for the job is not geared toward this.Throughout the development of the chapters you will find also the references on the requirements of the industry by people trained in certain skills and on the other hand will be able to appreciate the strong ...

Moving between two worlds: integrating interculturality in bilingual educationprograms in Cusco, PeruMany indigenous children in Peru are disadvantaged from birth, a situation which is exacerbated by the many deficiencies in the provision of educational services to rural communities. The Ministry of Education and non-governmental organizations are working together with teachers and community members to implement programs whose goal is a truly intercultural bilingual education. This study presents theresults of a research project which compared two rural schools: one follows the state curriculum; the other, more promisingly, works at the community level with the aim of preparing the children to move with confidence between the two worlds which make up the Peru of today. The study shows promising results in the experimental school in the use both of Spanish and of Quechua by the students.

Both descriptive and bivariate statistical analyses were conducted. Results: At the initial assessment, the OHI was 1.42 (SD = 0.68). By the conclusion of the study, this value had decreased to 0.45 (SD = 0.29), with the reduction being statistically significant (p < 0.001). This document constitutes an update of the original document written for the Regional Meeting organized by UNESCO-OREALC to focus on and consider alternatives related to Women’s Education in Latin America. I was invited to Panama to share with colleagues the perspectives on this matter. Due to having had a direct and pioneering participation in the non-formal education of the programs in Peru and in Latin America, I was selected to share these experiences. At present, I think it is appropriate to carry out 30 years later, an update with a comprehensive verification of PRONOEI impact not only including boys and girls who are the fundamental objective of these programs but mainly all participating actors which are about 99% women. Preliminaries contributions are abridged in Braslavsky (1984).

The Education Act states that this is a right for all without distinction, however education for children with special abilities have been locked up in special schools, limiting participants to a confined education, avoiding social interaction with peers and socialization in their midst. The research presented aims to provide input regarding the updating of teaching and non-teachers working in special and basic education in regular primary education, it is proposed a training program in Inclusive Education and its new approach to help to overcome the condition of children with special educational needs for social integration.

Modern society is increasingly aware that innovation and entrepreneurship play a transcendental role in achieving a sustainable economy that ensures the social well-being and employability of young people, hence the importance of promoting them through the university curriculum. For this reason, it is of great interest to determine the impact that universities and their educational models are having on entrepreneur training, since they may not be addressing the necessary skills. In this sense, the current study sought to characterize the entrepreneurial training of academic programs in the humanities at higher education institutions in Mexico that are members of the National Network of Schools and Faculties of Philosophy, Letters, and Humanities, as well as the necessary competencies for graduates to engage in entrepreneurial activity. For the methodological design, we used a descriptive...

The teaching of human parasitology is essential for students of health sciences, especially medicine, because it is a major global public health problem―occurring with high frequency in low-income countries―and because of its presence in countries considered developed. In this sense, it is estimated that worldwide there are 2,800 million individuals infected with soil-transmitted helminths, 20 to 30% people infected with Toxoplasma gondii, 300 to 500 million new cases of malaria per year, and nearly 15 million Latin Americans with Chagas disease, an infection caused by Trypanosoma cruzi. This narrative review article analyzes information available in digital repositories on aspects of the traditional educational program of human or medical parasitology using descriptors or keywords closely related to the topic. The reviewed articles were mainly those published in peer-reviewed, index...

The approach was quantitative, the descriptive level comparative and the design adopted was the “quasi-experimental”. The “t” ratio of Student was used, and the SPSS Program was applied to process the information collected th...

These programs have well-established faculty and have produced several generations of trained students. The article outlines the methodology used to analyze the curricular discourse related to the concept of research methodology, and presents findings that highlight the different interpretations given to key elements of this concept across the three programs. The results reveal nine major attributions of meaning to the concept of research methodology, with varying degrees of similarity across the three programs.
