Consideration and positive affirmation is classified by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) as one of the most effective therapeutic skills in the clinical area. Therefore, the present research aimed to understand the way in which positive regard and affirmation unfolds: its scope and challenges in clinical practice in two psychotherapists of the clinical specialization; emphasis is placed on psychotherapy with children and adolescents. This study starts on the discussion about different ways of seeing. To remove the sense of sight out of the daily function to an aesthetic perception of reality, it presents contributions of authors as Merleau-Ponty (1992), Godard (2004), and Blanchot (2001). In a dialectic relation between see and create, it transforms distinct ways of seeing in an impulse to dance creation. The sight, considered through an esthetical and philosophical perspective, independently if it is a blind person or not, puts the creativity on movement. In this way, some experiments based on the relation between see and move, proposed by the author, are described along the text. The conclusion is that the way of seeing, that is to say, someone’s position in relation to the world, is what allows the creation, and not the physiological condition of sight’s sense.

This paper considers the positivity and negativity of boredom to understand the horizon in which contemporary society constructs its sense of everyday life. My method follows Heidegger’s interpretative proposal, guided by the concept of everyday life in dialogue with Han, concerning the manifestation of boredom in the everyday life of individuals. In the first part of this paper, I discuss the determinations of instrumental rationality and neoliberalism in sense-construction within contemporary society. Then, in the second part, I attempt to explain the dialectic impossibility of the positivity of boredom. In this work is presented the required details for the design a DC motor positioning control, having into account the parameters of the motor given by the manufacturer. It is explain in detail the method used to find their operation parameters, with the controller parameter, the Kalman and control constants are calculated. All of those used in the C++ language as well as in DSP assembler. With the data collected in real time is produced the control signal that also is obtained from C++, finally we drew the results in DSP assembly language.

A common problem in moral discourse is the risk of incurring in infinite regressions. This, together with other criticisms also directed at scientific disciplines, motivated the sceptical attitude towards morality advised by several postmodern theories. The response of both moral philosophy and science was similar: to reaffirm the possibility of reaching agreements of “truth” or “correction” through rational discussion, which in turn implies a regulated procedure to submit theories to questioning in the freest possible way. ANCA vasculitis associated to propylthiouracil (PTU) is a rare condition with an incidence of 0.47-0.71 cases per 100,000 patients. It affects mainly minor caliber blood vessels. The skin, kidneys and lungs are the organs most affected. To make the diagnosis it is necessary to have a high index of suspicion and rely on histopathologic findings of skin lesions plus a positive ANCA test. Stopping the inducing drug is usually necessary to manage this condition. We report the case of a 45-year-old woman who consumed PTU for two years for the treatment of hyperthyroidism presenting with painful purpuric plaques in the lower limbs.

The present study aims to identify the psychometric properties of the Positive Emotions Questionnaire for girls and boys in the Mexican population. The sample was selected non-randomly and consisted of 668 girls and boys, 4th, 5th and 6th grade elementary school students in public and private schools, whose ages ranged from 8 to 14 years old (M = 10.38; DE = 1.32); 55 % were from the Guadalajara metropolitan area (52 % males and 48% females) and 45 % from the southern area of the state of Jalisco (43 % males and 57 % females). The results obtained from the factorial analysis show adequate fit indexes and the interfactor correlations were moderate, indicating that there is no overlapping of content between the dimensions. This pictorial review addresses the correct positioning of medical devices used in pediatrics, such as arterial and venous umbilical catheters, central venous catheters, pulmonary arterial catheters (SwanGanz), nasogastric, orogastric, and nasoduodenal tubes, endotracheal tubes, tracheostomy tubes, pleural drainage tubes, and cardiac pacemakers. It focuses on the importance of identifying the proper placement of these devices to prevent complications and improve clinical care. The correct positions and complications associated with malpositions are described, emphasizing the use of radiographs for the evaluation and monitoring of these devices in pediatric patients.

This study presents the results of an intervention based on positive psychology. The objective was to reduce the levels of depression in young university students. University students were diagnosed by applying group measurement instruments. Based on the results obtained, participants were selected (n = 3) to carry out a five-session intervention for each case, using positive psychology techniques. They answered instruments (pre and post-intervention) on the Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS) and Depression Inventory. The results revealed favorable changes in the participants at the end of the sessions. After the intervention, there was a decrease in the average levels of depression and negative emotions and an increase in the students' positive emotions, with higher levels than those observed before the intervention. Introduction: Zoonotic diseases transmitted by domestic animals may be considered a public health problem in developing countries. Objective: To determine the frequency of positive toxocara serology in clinically suspected children. Design: Descriptive, cross-sectional study. Setting: Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño (INSN), Lima, Peru. Participants: Children with positive toxocara serology. Methods: Clinical records of children with suspicion of toxocara infection during the period 2007-2010 were included.
