The purpose was to prove the power of retention through the case study method. In order to measure the level of retention, the same test was given three and six months after classes ended. Student satisfaction through the case study method was considered a secondary dependent variable. The quasi experimental design pretest and posttest was applied with intact groups. The analysis unit consisted of an experimental group and a control group of students of the School of Education of San Marcos University (Universidad San Marcos) who are currently enrolled in the course “Methodology of Educational Research I”.

El Estado Constitucional de Derecho necesita de la realización práctica de los derechos fundamentales de todas las personas como un requisito indispensable de su existencia. Sin embargo, se constata en la realidad que las mujeres han sido instaladas en una situación de exclusión y vulnerabilidad organizada por el sistema social, político, cultural y económico predominante. A proposal is presented in which the respective energy analysis is carried out to characterize the calorific value of commercial gasolines in Ecuador as: Super, Extra and Ecopaís. This study is carried out in the laboratory of internal combustion engines of the University of the Armed Forces-ESPE, with the purpose of obtaining mathematical models that relate the energy and quality parameters of gasolines.Models that will be obtained through computational tools such as artificial neural network (ANN), which will use a set of historical data provided by the Agency for Regulation and Control of Hydrocarbons (ARCH) of Ecuador, for validation.

Purpose: This paper aims to investigate the relationship between legitimate and expert social power types of preadolescent children on the influence perception in their mothers’ purchasing behavior in Peruvian toy stores. The literature review takes into consideration the concepts of social power and the influence on family behavior to then focus on social power within family behavior with the purpose of mainly developing four hypotheses regarding purchasing behavior. Women victims of sexual assault encounter several hurdles when seeking justice in Chilean legal institutions; however, recent efforts by the Chilean Supreme Court to fight bias against underrepresented groups have foregrounded the importance of applying a gender perspective in court trials. In light of the publication by the Chilean Supreme Court in 2019, I analyze the court ruling of a 2004 rape case that led Corporación Humanas?a feminist NGO?to file a petition before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. The methodology of this work is taken from the program works on the history of Russian philosophy by V. V. Zenkovsky and N. O. Lossky, and consists in creating a comparative basis for comparing the main concepts of power in Western philosophy and Russian philosophy. Even a rough analysis shows that the government eludes discourse and eschews rational definitions, otherwise it would be possible to explain the revolution in Russia by its fundamental character.The material of the article can be used in social and anthropological studies of power, which increases and extends its influence even to the simplest relationships but rather than reducing it. The statistics of the major international health organizations, shows that most affected by sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are young, which also can have consequences that affect the rest of their lives. An audience study to understand how a selected sample of university students construct ideas about these diseases, how these notions are reflected in their sexual practice, and what sources prefer to learn on the subject, reveals that traditional media are no longer within of the main areas in which they obtain information or share ideas about STIs. Neither their schools provide reliable information on the subject. They prefer face-to-face communication, and the Internet and social networks to the extent that allow interactivity and dialogue. They favor a playful perspective as well as practical and useful information.

Research on business elites and economic power has notable findings in the social sciences of Peru. However, the theoretical application of this political power has not been used, especially in contexts of agrarian conflicts. The aim proposed in this theoretical essay, focused on the power resources approach, is to improve the theoretical description and explain in detail the theory of business power, its instrumental and structural mechanisms, and the strategic application of power resources. Debido al contexto actual en el que aún se evidencian las desigualdades entre géneros, donde las mujeres se ven perjudicadas, se decidió investigar la relación entre el poder y la felicidad en mujeres en altos cargos y cómo ésta se ve reflejada en casos de ficción. Para ello, se realizó un análisis semiótico (acompañado de los estudios de género) de dos protagonistas, pertenecientes a las series The Good Wife y House of Cards, Claire Underwood y Alicia Florrick respectivamente. Ellas inician en la ficción siendo solo esposas, pero en poco tiempo se convierten en grandes líderes. Es este proceso de acumulación de poder en el cual se muestra de manera clara las limitaciones que el sistema les impone y las consecuencias que generan, afectando sus relaciones personales, personales y en general en su calidad de vida.

In 2016, a national campaign against the Ministry of Education’s new National Curricula for Basic Education emerged in Peru. A Facebook group with the name «Con Mis Hijos No Te Metas PERÚ-Oficial» («Don’t Mess With My Children PERU-Oficial», in English) also appeared. It started receiving thousands of «likes» and was used to share information about the curricula and coordinate activities and protests. In the context of this campaign, I conducted a netnography of the Facebook group and analyzed the discourse that appears in the page. Using Foucault’s ideas of power as a point of departure, I argue that religious individuals that oppose the curricula and participate in the page are exercising pastoral power, and acting like pastors in charge of guiding a flock of bodies-souls away from this «gender ideology» and to salvation....

The academic performance of students depends on a number of factors, mostly psycological; within which studying habits play an important role, as well as student motivation and locus of control. In this work, a study of the relationship between academic performance, study habits, motivation and locus of control is made; analyzing the impact of the last three variables over the first. For which the survey technique is applied and scales of motivation, study habits and locus of control; analyzing the results with the use of statistical techniques such as correlation analysis, analysis of variance and correlation analysis. The study results show that the study habits and motivation for affiliation and motivation to achieve significant impact on the academic performance of the sample, formed by students of the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

This study presents an approach to the phonetic similarities and differences between a natural voice and an artificial voice, which is why it seeks to: (a) provide an analysis that serves as a precedent for judicial cases of voice cloning by artificial intelligence (AI) and (b) expose the importance of linguistics as a source of scientific evidence for the judicial system. Thus, the voice of the Argentine narrator Mariano Closs and his artificial counterpart created in FakeYou (text-to-speech converter) have been analyzed using the combined method that integrates the use of automatic voice analysis programs (Forensia and SIS II) and the phonetic analysis. The cycle of violence is a repetitive structure of dysfunctional affective couple interaction, a sum of negative emotions that inhibits the woman victim of violence from making assertive decisions regarding her personal development and life-time plans. In this paper we will discuss its construction from the perspective of male-oriented violence and, without pretending to justify it, we will explain the violent behavior, the relationship of this cycle and risk factors to which women victims of violence are exposed, taking as a reference an interview conducted within a scientific research process (doctoral thesis), for which the respective informed consent was obtained.
