The present investigation has as purpose the regional economic analysis that contributes in the diagnosis of the sectorial planning of the State of Mexico. To fulfill this purpose, we sought to determine the level of association between the size of the economic units and a set of representative variables of economic activity. The data mining methodology was used to quantitatively and descriptively apply the Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) methodology. The results suggest that there is a moderate positive association level around 50% in two of its indicators: Pearson's association coefficient is 0.4685 and Mathews's is 0.5303. However, in Cramer's V and Total Inertial indicators, there were weak positive correlations of 0.3062 and 0.2812, respectively. Given this situation, discriminant analysis and variance analysis were proposed as an alternative measure, which showed that microe...

Studies about indigenous political participation become socially relevant at the time of elucidating the problems facing the system of participatory and representative democracy in Mexico and Latin America. Securing the interests and fulfilling the demands of the indigenous population, through the vote, highlights the role of political parties and questions their real functioning in order to provide democratic stability to the political system. In this sense, the link between the indigenous population and political parties becomes essential for democratic development and for the institutionalization of the parties themselves; however, what happens when the indigenous population is in a migratory context such as Monterrey and its metropolitan area in northeast Mexico? How is this link between political parties and indigenous people for the materialization of their demands and democratic s...

The objective of this article is to highlight the role of indigenous communities in the construction of an idea of an alternative nation, which emerged in the midst of the War of the Pacific, particularly during the worsening of the armed conflict: between the fall of Lima (1881) and the signing of the Treaty of Ancón (1883). For this, we will rely on a historiographical journey with the contributions and the follow-up to the trajectory of the discussion of various positions that shows us its beginnings, the current panorama and the future perspectives on this subject. In this way, we will analyze various studies carried out by researchers Heraclio Bonilla, Florencia Mallon, Nelson Manrique, Mark Turner, Nelson Pereyra, Hugo Pereyra and Brooke Larson, among others. Finally, we will evaluate the production of university theses on the war with Chile in the last two decades to identify the...

The present study aims to explore the essential foundations of both liberalism and republicanism, starting from individual freedom and the common good, respectively, and focusing on the fundamental concept of liberty. To achieve this, the concepts of private property, non-interventionism, and state neutrality in liberalism, and community, social purpose, and the public sphere in republicanism, derived from the aforementioned terms, will be analyzed. The objective of this research is to evaluate the practical feasibility of both ideological currents and consider the possibility of a synthesis between them. Hence, the guiding question will be: which of the two is more feasible in practical life, or if there can be a synthesis between them? In response to this question, it is argued that liberalism is the most feasible and viable stance, as republicanism is contradictory in its principles a...

The interactive documentary field has a collaborative dimension since its beginning. This research proposes a model for the analysis of the participation of online communities within interactive documentary, developed on the basis of the previous scientific literature on this topic. Then, analysed case studies have shown the diversity of forms regarding contribution from online communities. On the basis of the different trends observed, five participative designs with different intensities and purposes have been described. Finally, the model has been applied to each design for its evaluation, allowing us to conclude that a significant participation would have to combine several of these designs considering the articulation of participant communities around documentary as well as its contribution to documentary meaning.

The digitalization of the women's magazines has brought with it the use of a multitude of Web 2.0 resources. The latest to appear are the social actors that, since 2006, have become the new spaces for the women's press to meet with readers. In this study we wanted to analyze, through content analysis, how the five main Spanish women's magazines Vogue, Elle, Telva, Woman and Marie Claire behave in the three social networks that are common to all of them: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Although each social network has its own specificities, we did not find any real communities of readers or two-way interactivity on the part of the publications. Nor have we noticed their presence in new social networks such as Tik Tok or Twitch where there is a younger audience and with which they should get involved as soon as possible

Urban planning is in a process of change. The established structures for decision-making are questioned, new participatory processes are tested in the planning of public buildings and a new culture of planning is demanded. This is especially evident in different collective groups of urbanism and architecture, which were founded in recent decades and seek to transform and improve the urban space with the help of participatory procedures and in cooperation with the local population. The fact that this model of participatory processes can facilitate “a bottom-up city” will be illustrated in this article using the example of different activities in the city of Piura carried out by the collective FuturoPiura. In order to influence the population's concern about the improvement of the city and act with the intention of optimizing the quality of life of citizens, FuturoPiura has been carryi...

This paper identifies variables that discriminate between participants and non-participants considering electoral and non-electoral dimensions of political participation in Córdoba, Argentina. A study was conducted by survey on a representative sample of the population (N = 450). The discriminant analysis allowed recognizing the contribution of right-wing autho ritarianism (RWA), collectivism, political collectivism, political interest and of participatory measure of “political efficacy”, to such differentiation in two dimensions of participation: electoral-campaign and contact with organizations and political figures. These results show the relationship of RWA with different political behavior of party preferences; and verify the relationship of different values and a participatory measure of “political efficacy” with broad participation repertoires.

This article denotes a socially relevant problem that is related to the absence of women and their history in the official curricular constructions of Chile and Peru. The method followed is related to the postulates of Critical Literacy, adapting leading questions for the construction of categories of analysis and documentary research. Among the main conclusions, it can be stated that both curricula, from comparative perspectives, do not propose or offer sufficient spaces for the inclusion of women and their history. In addition, the curriculum construction is framed in traditional perspectives that reveal the protagonism of white men with political, economic and / or military power, where women, when they are referred, are carried out from subordinate positions and linked to the domestic and private. We can argue that although women are visible in some areas of the curriculum, such pres...
