This paper is focused on the area of philosophy of economics and tries to analyze two problems of economics from its philosophical categories. The first problem is: what are the errors or shortcomings that economics goes through in its work as a science, and the second raises the problem of whether there is the possibility of a strengthening between economics and ethics in order to have an efficient economic activity and moral systems (or perhaps one). The objective of this work is a review of the theoretical bases, principles, assumptions, methodology and ways of proceeding of the scientist in his work and proceeding within economics. The present study aims to explore the essential foundations of both liberalism and republicanism, starting from individual freedom and the common good, respectively, and focusing on the fundamental concept of liberty. To achieve this, the concepts of private property, non-interventionism, and state neutrality in liberalism, and community, social purpose, and the public sphere in republicanism, derived from the aforementioned terms, will be analyzed. Hence, the guiding question will be: which of the two is more feasible in practical life, or if there can be a synthesis between them? In response to this question, it is argued that liberalism is the most feasible and viable stance, as republicanism is contradictory in its principles a...

To support this claim, we will first examine fundamental moral theories and their inherent appeal, then identify inconsistencies in each of them. Next, the validity of utilitarian moral theory w...

That this work should not be understood as intolerance to freedom of expression, or a tendency towards scientific dogma, but rather, to problematize the correct path towards which work and academic life should be followed. Given what has been stated, it is proposed, -responding to the question of the topic that has been proposed- that indicated development it responds to a distorted and appropriate academic freedom to the needs of who expresses it, where the slogan; It is no longer how to approach understanding the world; rather, what is it that mak...

This study analyzes the concept of philosophy inherited in the Western tradition based onthe ideas of the Greeks, as well as their influence on the culture. On the other hand, taking as a reference the Kalama Sutta, an ancestral text within the Theravada Buddhist tradition, we will try to show how, through a careful interpretation, a conception of philosophy can be elaborated in the light of the skepticism that, it is believed, is commonto both traditions.
