This article is studied the optimal control of distributed parameter systems applied to an environmental pollution problem. The model consists of a differential equation partial parabolic modeling of a pollutant transport in a fluid. The model is considered the speed with which the pollutant spreads in the environment and degradation that suffers the contaminant by the presence of a factor biological inhibitor, which breaks the contaminant at a rate that is not dependent on space and time.Using the method of Lagrange multipliers is possible to prove the existence solving the problem of control and obtaining optimality conditions for optimal control.

In this work, we propose the nonmonotone projected spectral gradient method to solve the problem of minimizing compliance of a static structure, classic problem in topology optimization. The present method has proof of global convergence and is easy to implement. The performance of the proposed method is studied through numerical examples in two dimensions.

Article concepts such as meta heuristics, evolutionary computation, evolutionary programming, genetic algorithms, aimed to propose an alternative solution to the difficult problem of plant distribution are examined.

The aim of this work is to prove the convergence of a proximal multiplicator method using generalized distances to solve convex minimization problems with separable structure, motivated in particular by the solution of optimization problems that arising in telecommunication networks and management of electrical energy production. The used procedures were the collection of information in scientific journals and specialized books, the study of the same and finally the use of mathematical tools to study the convergence of the sequence of the proposed method. In the present work, necessary and sufficient optimality conditions are presented for the solution to a mínimum time problem. These conditions are established by the principle of the Pontryagin maximum, as a necessary and sufficient condition. In addition, the principle of the Pontryagin maximum is used in the search for the solution to an optimal control problem of mechanical origin.

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo proponer un criterio cuantitativo para evaluar la viabilidad de implementar soluciones basadas en programación lineal para resolver el problema de ruteo de vehículos (VRP). Se utilizó un diseño experimental para medir el tiempo relativo de solución con un modelo de programación lineal propuesto. La muestra utilizada fue aleatoria utilizando tres escenarios de dispersión de puntos de entrega: poco dispersos, dispersos y muy dispersos. Se utilizó un solver de programación lineal con el objetivo de determinar el tiempo y las iteraciones necesarias para encontrar la solución del modelo. The present article develops a number of classical economic-financial applications in continuous time based on the software Stella (Isee Systems, Inc.). The problems under analysis basically deal with modeling projected free cash flows and investments, and their Net Present Value estimation, a process which in many cases may require numerical integration. The document shows how Stella allows construction of a model in a simple fashion, and with it to make simulations that give graphical solutions, as is the case of the decision of the optimal harvest time, or the selection between alternative projects, among others.

High blood pressure is a chronic disease that is increasing worldwide and in Perú; so that patients suffering from this disease may have drug-related problems. The objective of this research was to evaluate if pharmaceutic intervention (FI) optimizes the pharmacotherapy of patients with high blood pressure (HBP). The type of study was prospective, descriptive and longitudinal. The Dáder method was used to carry out the pharmacotherapeutic follow-up (PFU), the Morisky- Green test and the Battle test to evaluate compliance and knowledge; patients with arterial hypertension were evaluated, who were treated at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital for five months. The molecular characterization of the mutations causing hereditary diseases are important tools for diagnosis, prognosis and eventually treatment. Huntington's disease is a neurodegenerative disease producing spastic uncontrolled movements and is caused by the expansion of a trinucleotide (CAG)n within the first exon of the gene HD located at 4p16. Hemocromatosis is a liver disease causing cirrosis, diabetes and heart problems, in addition one third of patients dies of hepatocarcinoma. Almost all cases of hemocromatosis are due to mutations in the gene HFE at 6p21, being C282Y and H63D the mutations most frequently detected in Europe and USA. We are establishing the molecular diagnosis of different diseases starting with Huntington disease and hemochromatosis as the begining of a service to the Peruvian comunity.
