Introduccion: Bacterial resistance to antibiotics is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Objective: Determine the antibiotic resistance of the most common bacteria isolated in blood cultures in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Materials and methods: Descriptive – retrospective, the identification of bacteria was done with VITEK XL, the susceptibility was done with the CLSI M100 guidelines. 30 edition. The dog is one of the oldest domestic animals in the world and man's best friend. Like us, dogs can suffer from various illnesses throughout their lives. Many of them can be cured and with a good prevention system, their eff ects can be avoided or minimized. Th is study determined which are the most common diseases and conditions in canines with the information collected from veterinary clinics in Lima, Peru, from 2013 to 2018. For this purpose, a total of 841 clinical records from diff erent Lima veterinarians were collected and cataloged related to these diseases. Through this work we explain a method to provide electrical power to a group of people living in the district of San Borja - Lima, through a PV system, which is not common in the area. This would help to reduce emission levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) to the atmosphere. It has been determined by the Solar Atlas of Peru that the coast region solar power reaches 6 to 6,5 kW.h/m2 per day, average in the month of March, if we convert this data to energy is equivalent to 21,6 to 23,4 MJ/m2, which is of great advantage for the proyect.

The objective of this review is to describe the psychometric characteristics of the Spanish versions of instruments for the detection of common mental disorders, on the basis of a systematic search carried out in PubMed and Google Scholar. The following instruments with pertinent psychometric information were identified: General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12 and GHQ-28), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Personal Health Scale (PHS), Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ -20), Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K-6 and K-10), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ), Edinburgh Scale (EPDS), Dep5, Anx5 and Symptom Checklist (SCL-90 and SCL-90-R). Since letters of intent do not have a specific regime and a ‘standard’ nature, they constitute a problem for the legal operator, as their effects could be of the most diverse. In view of this, the author proposes the determination of their nature, validity and effects based on the particular analysis of the terms of each letter of intent and, by virtue of such analysis, to verify whether Peruvian law may be applicable. The purpose is to establish the necessary parameters to interpret the scope of this type of documents, whose operability is becoming more and more frequent in national and international transactions.

Issues of “good faith” in the performance of construction and engineering contracts are common. Moreover, “good faith” issues arise in most jurisdictions of the world, including common law and civil law jurisdictions. This paper considers the approach taken by English common law to the legal concept of “good faith”. It considers the consequences of English law not embracing “good faith” in commercial law in any general way, including in relation to construction and engineering contracts, and some of the doctrines developed by English law to ameliorate the potentially harsh consequences of a party exercising its contractual rights in an unfair manner. Consideration is also given to the New Engineering Contract and other forms of contract which expressly require parties to act in good faith.

The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of three anthelminthic principles commonly used in horses in the Valle de Aburrá, Antioquia (Colombia), using the faecal egg count reduction test (FECTR). A cross-sectional study was carried out in 143 horses with initial counts of >100 eggs per gram of faeces (EPG). Three anthelminthic principles (fenbendazole [FEN], ivermectin [IVM], and pyrantel pamoate [PYR]) were evaluated. It was found that most of those in charge of the animals did not remember the product used in the last deworming (27.9%; 40/143); that the use of IVM (25.2%; 36/143) and FEN (23.1%; 33/143) was common in the study population; and, that the IVM is the active principle with the greatest effectiveness in the study population (82.7%), followed by the PYR (65.8%).
