This article seeks to be a source of knowledge and help students and teachers, from the synthesis of the personal college student’s experience in developing their learning to the teaching of natural sciences at the secondary level. In addition, during the development of this article, there are some of the advantages and limitations encountered at this stage of studies contrasted with the reality of education in our country, and it provides a global vision and a neutral point of view about the problems faced by many students during the university life, which often has not been able to be transmitted in its entirety, however, through this document it seeks to break these patterns and improve communication between the authorities and students.

The metaverse is a construction of universes operated in digital environments where users connect to alternate realities on an identity platform through avatars that reflect their appearance, physical movements, body and facial expressions. Objective. To identify teachers’ knowledge about the metaverse and propose pedagogical strategies that support its incorporation into the thematic content of the subjects. The objective of the research work was to propose a teaching method that allowed the self-management of knowledge related to the zoology of invertebrates by the students of the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Education career, comparing in-person learning vs. those not in attendance. We show the results of the teaching-learning experience of the Math 'Level 0' course given to the freshers at UPC who do not pass the Math 'Level Exam'. The work was based on the feedback of the learning process and it was done at the same time that the university 'methodology of competencies' was being applied. The difference was based on the feedback given on each class based on evaluations that measured their cognitive and 'procedural knowledge'(part calculus and modelling of everyday situations). The comparison with the results obtained at the end of the week in general evaluations (common for each class) were positive, which encouraged us to keep up this learning process by common agreement.At the end of the course when comparisons between each class were made we saw that 70% passed the course due to applying this methodology.
