The racial imaginary in the United States’ literary discourse is the object of study of this re- search, which is aiming at determining how the discourse of ilocutive agents, who are black female valuating subjects, reflects the racial imaginary of the author as a subject of the enun- ciation. Theory involving discourse, Critical Discourse Analysis, imaginaries and ideology was presented in the research. Escrito por Kathryn Stockett, es una novela estadounidense controversial que describe las vidas de las criadas afroamericanas que trabajan en Jackson Mississippi en la década de 1960. En un primer capítulo, la tesis presenta toda la teoría sobre el análisis crítico del discurso y la valoración. El segundo capítulo incluye una panorámica sobre las relaciones raciales en los Estados Unidos, la influencia del contexto sociocultural sobre la escritura y recepción de la novela, y la teoría relacionada con el imaginario racial. El tercer capítulo está dedicado al análisis de enunciados por Aibileen como actante ilocutivo para caracterizarla como sujeto valorador.

Starting from the consideration of the imaginary and the key conceptions so that concepts such as social significance, institution and functions are put into effect, as indicated by Castoriadis, this article highlights the work of Daniel H. Cabrera to understand the imaginary of new technologies, as well as Patrick Flichy’s work on the imaginary of the Internet, based on Ricoeur’s notions of ideology and utopia. Both the new digital technologies and the Internet are the ideal complement characteristic of what is usually called the information society from the point of view of the technological determinism. Este texto presenta una breve historia de las herramientas tecnológicas que permitieron capturar y manipular el sonido, hasta culminar con su devenir digital contemporáneo. El objetivo de este ensayo es exponer algunas de las repercusiones más importantes que han sucedido en los entornos musicales a partir de la transformación de la música y el sonido a objetos digitales. Para esto expondremos algunos de los fenómenos más llamativos que han surgido por las tendencias de organización y homogeneización que imperan en las herramientas digitales contemporáneas y en las plataformas de streaming gestionadas por corporativos. Finalmente, se esbozan algunas líneas de fuga que a mi parecer permiten pensar rutas de imaginarios musicales que experimenten desde otras perspectivas con el devenir digital de la música y el sonido.

The present assay focuses on the role of the master Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz on building the cultural imaginary of our Faculty. We address his outstanding performance within the various events of our institutional history. We state that Lanfranco is the expression of a new medical culture within the San Fernando Faculty of Medicine, being himself a mandatory reference for a community in reconstruction and through the search of an identity. In the present work we realize a systematic study of the optical properties of transition metal dichalcogenides using time dependent density functional theory for the determination of excited states of conduction band considering the electron density as a time dependent functional and temporarily affect the screening Coulomb potential which is used in Dyson equation for electric susceptibility determination. We calculate the real and imaginary parts of dielectric function which permit us to observe the absorption coefficient and the plasmon formation for electromagnetic radiation photons from the infrared (25 meV) to ultraviolet (30 eV) range. And we found that the imaginary parts of zz component of the 2D systems have not absorption peaks, meanwhile, the xx, yy and zz components of the 2D systems have not shown plasma frequencies.

We determine the complex refractive index (N) of a semiconducting CdSe thin film from the measurements of the transmittance spectrum. The experiment allow us to obtain, from the real part of refractive index, the N dispersive law, and from the imaginary part, the absortion coefficient. An energy dependence analysis of the absorption coefficient is done to obtain the value of the forbidden band ''GAP'' of thesemiconductor and the nature of the optical transition.
