La Unidad de Registro Civil de La Municipalidad Provincial de Punchana, ubicada en la ciudad de [quitos, departamento de Loreto, provincia de Maynas, se encarga de realizar el proceso de registro de actas de matrimonio, defunción y de divorcio; para ello es necesaria la recepción y manejo adecuado de los documentos que los contribuyentes hacen ingresar, este proceso se realiza de forma manual y apoyándose en hojas de cálculos en Excel, lo que resulta tedioso y complicado pues, genera problemas al momento de controlar y requerir información oportuna sobre el estado de atención de dicha documentación ingresada. The study analyzes the various modernization projects at the Faculty of Medicine San Fernando, in the context of a serious institutional crisis at the end of the XXth century. Beginning from the thinking collective and thinking style categories proposed by Ludwick Fleck, we study the social and historical processes related to the different initiatives displayed in the ancient Peruvian school of medicine. Analysis of the different initiatives identified lead us to the hypothesis that San Fernando’s crisis as an academic collective is based in the proper contradictions of an unfinished institutional project that also manifests cyclically asynchronous and dysfunctional to the complex and changing Peruvian society’s institutional and cultural environment. The present assay focuses on the role of the master Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz on building the cultural imaginary of our Faculty. We address his outstanding performance within the various events of our institutional history. We state that Lanfranco is the expression of a new medical culture within the San Fernando Faculty of Medicine, being himself a mandatory reference for a community in reconstruction and through the search of an identity. We address the values which led him, such as tolerance, academic excellence, humanistic vocation, as well as teaching with the aim of building a universitary community. This study analizes Daniel Alcides Carrion role as a cultural hero and central element of Peruvian medical tradition. We verify the meaning of the elaboration process of Carrion’s experiment in a political struggle and national reconstruction scenery that converges with the beginning of the century aristocratic elite positivism. Social recomposition of medical institutions and the emergent fraction entrance to the Faculty of Medicine makes end of the XIX century-Carrion’s created image to become a neutral icon at the present time, amenable to absolute reivindication by all sectors as it is deeply rooted in the past with no current presence.
