Diabetes mellitus is a public health problem that causes early and late complications. Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) has become the main technological tool for real-time glycemic control and has the potential to prevent complications. However, its use has not spread in low- and middle-income countries. We present the experience in the management of a patient with type 1 diabetes with hypoglycemia unawareness in whom the use of real-time CGM achieved both: less hypoglycemic episodes and optimization of insulin regimen. The benefit of real-time CGM in addition to the use of analog insulins and diabetes education resulted in better metabolic control. CGM is a useful tool to consider in patients with hypoglycemia unawareness and to minimize the risk of complications in the future.

The main purpose of this article was to carry out a systematic review of empirical studies on the continuous training of teachers at the levels of basic early childhood education in Latin America, this information was collected from journals indexed in relation to the subject in the database of Scielo, Scopus, Ebsco and Dialnet, between the years 2010 to 2019. According to the analysis of the collected evidence, aspects such as: a) continuous training as a means of transforming pedagogical practice, b) teacher professional development and research culture as part of continuous training, c) the importance of developing continuous training programs to enhance the pedagogical capacities of teachers. The use of roadheader (RH ) equipment for the underground mining of zinc ores in the San Vicente reservoir is analyzed. The characteristics of the ore bodies of the deposit is described in terms of technical and economic terms for removal by continuous mining system . El estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el porcentaje y media de diámetro de fibras de acuerdo con el tipo de medulación en alpacas, así como determinar la existencia de variaciones debido al sexo y número de esquilas. Este articulo trata de una empresa dedicada, a la exportación prendas, que terceriza los procesos desde el tejido hasta el acabado. El tema se centra en el outsourcing de confecciones, qué es una MYPE y de su problema con respecto a la calidad.La MYPE de confección no cuenta con un sistema de calidad definido, por lo que se plantea implementar herramientas de control de calidad y mejora continua para mejorar el nivel de calidad de los productos (prendas). Para la implementación de este trabajo se capacitó al personal en herramientas de control de calidad, mejora continua y método de autocontrol. Se realizaron mediciones antes y después de la implementación de herramientas. Se pudo conseguir una reducción en los niveles de fallados por confección de la MYPE.

This article is about a company dedicated to export cloths, which outsource the process from the tissue to the garment finishing. The topic is centered in confections outsourcing, what is a MyPE and their problem respect to quality.Confections MyPEs do not count with a defined quality system, reason why the implementation of quality tools and continuous improvement to enhance their products (garment) quality standards is proposed. To implement this concept, the MyPE’s staff was trained to use quality control tools, continuous improvement tools and the auto control method. Measurements pre and post the implementation of the mentioned tools were taken. A reduction of the confection error rate of the MyPE was achieved.

La presente investigación pretende determinar de qué manera la gestión de la calidad, basado en el sistema HACCP (Análisis de Riesgos y de Puntos Críticos de Control), influye en la mejora continua de la Línea de Comidas Preparadas en un autoservicio de Lima Metropolitana al año 2015. Para ello, se abordó la mejora continua desde dos perspectivas: Responsabilidad del personal manipulador de alimentos y las condiciones de proceso y fabricación e instalaciones sanitarias. This research aims to determine how the quality management, based on the HACCP system (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), influences on the continuous improvement of the Line of Ready Meals in a self-service store of Lima Metropolitan Area to 2015. For this reason, the continuous improvement was studied from two perspectives: Responsibility of food handling personnel and the conditions of process and manufacturing and sanitary facilities. The type of research was pre-experimental; the sample of study was conformed by 16 people who work in the Line of Ready Meals of a self-service store of Lima Metropolitan Area. It is concluded that the HACCP system has had a significant influence on continuous improvement, as well as, on the responsibility of food handlers and the conditions of processing and manufacturing and sanitary facilities of self-service store.

The objective of the study was to evaluate the phenotypic variability of the percentage of medullated fibres of Huacaya alpacas, as well as to calculate the phenotypic correlation between the average diameter of fiber (ADF) and the percentage of total medullation (PM). Fibre samples were collected from 36 Huacaya alpacas (0.4-10.4 years old males) to analyse the ADF and the PM with the projection microscope. The type of medulla of the fibres was considered as not medullated, fragmented, discontinuous, continuous and strongly medullated. A high phenotypic variability of PM between alpacas and within the samples was observed. Today, people who present respiratory insufficiency distress and who do not respond to non-invasive treatments require mechanical ventilation. This was increased in the COVID 19 pandemic, where governments and companies increased production, research of mechanical fans. One of the main steps for the development of a medical device is its simulation. This article shows the necessary procedure to mathematically model the waves of volume, flow and pressure in the pressure-controlled continuous mandatory ventilation mode (PC-CMV) and the volume-controlled continuous mandatory ventilation mode. For its development, input parameters such as Compliance, resistance, respiratory rate, inspiratory time, expiratory time, pause time, PEEP, PIP and tidal volume were taken into account for simulation in the Matlab software and obtaining ventilation parameters in the mode PC-CMV and VC-CMV.
