Materials and methods. A Virtual Lab to experiment on controlled fusion of two digital images has been developed. The resulting image has user pre-defined percentages of each contributing image. With the aim on improving the quality of the resulting image in the fusion, the Virtual Lab has been enabled with the option of selecting a color to be ignored during the fusion process, in this way this color is not fussioned. Successful experiments have been executed fusing three images using the same algorithm.

The wide adoption of Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) in additive manufacturing has led to the need for a comprehensive understanding of the corrosion behavior of LPBF-fabricated components [1]. This thesis focuses on the pitting corrosion behavior of 316L stainless steel, emphasizing the influence of process-induced porosity. The impact of various defects on pitting corrosion behavior was explored through a series of experimental investigations using cyclic potentiodynamic polarization in a 0.6M NaCl solution. The study revealed that LPBF 316L SS exhibited superior pitting resistance compared to its wrought counterpart [2]–[7], even in the presence of manufacturing defects. Thermodynamic simulation models have been developed to observe the behavior of the minor elements Zn, Pb, As, Sb and Bi; as well as the major elements Cu, Fe, Si, 0 and S in the conversion and fusion processes: NORANDA and ISASMELT for the production of copper-rich mattes. The Noranda process shows a steady state model for obtaining a high-grade matte in metallic copper. The lsasmelt process is based on the concept of the two independent reaction sites in the bath (slag-killing interface): rapid oxidation and slow reduction. Se presenta un algoritmo para seleccionar un conjunto de píxeles por encima de un cierto nivel de gris en una imagen, extraerlo y transferirlo a otra imagen; el resultado es una superposición restringida de imágenes, basada en la técnica de diferencia controlada (modulada) las mismas. En algunas aplicaciones en las que se necesite mezclar imágenes, esta superposición restringida de imágenes podría ser una opción a considerar.

An algorithm to select a set of pixels above a predefined grey-level threshold from an image, extract it and transfer it to another image is presented; the result is a restricted overlapping of images, based on the Controlled (modulated) image difference technique. In some applications this thresholded overlapping may be an option to consider when the aim is the mixture of images.

This work proposes the use of the methodology to process real financial valuation of strategic investments in mergers and acquisitions by global companies of Mexican options. Through a concrete example it shows the appropriateness of their use in the analysis of the feasibility of buying the American company - Canadian Weston Foods by the Mexican multinational company Bimbo, purchase modeling in the context of the theory of real options as an option buying applying the binomial expansion method. Determine the value of the option to purchase Weston Foods applying real options methodology by comparing it with the premium originally agreed by Bimbo. And finally, it is determined whether the purchase of Weston Foods will add value to Bimbo.

La tesis “La marca de servicio personal como factor de éxito en las fusiones o adquisiciones”, pretende explicar que el uso de una marca de servicio, en este caso la marca relacionada a la propia persona, es un factor de éxito en el posicionamiento del trabajador en la nueva empresa. Se ha considerado en el estudio, el caso de la adquisición de Bellsouth Perú por Telefónica Móviles en el Perú, para lo cual se tomó el universo de las personas que actualmente laboran en la empresa y que participaron en el proceso de adquisición. La investigación es retrospectiva con respecto al año de fusión (2004), pero la investigación se desarrolla en los primeros meses del año 2010. Las Interrogantes presentadas, han sido transformadas en hipótesis y corroboradas mediante pruebas que validan la investigación.

Monitoring the evolution of the wound is vital to evaluate the current treatment and determine the need for a different approach. En este trabajo se exponen investigaciones relevantes que discuten los efectos que las Fusiones y Adquisiciones (F&A) tienen sobre las variables empresariales, con particular énfasis sobre la construcción y destrucción de valor. Para este fin, se analizan las variables de estrategia gerencial, creación de valor, función comercial, capital humano, aspectos operativos y tecnológicos y gobierno corporativo. Finalmente, a la luz de la información bibliográfica revisada, y con la finalidad de que pueda servir de apoyo a las empresas para la toma de decisiones en relación a los procesos de F&A, se recomienda llevar a cabo un estudio empírico que permita cuantificar los efectos sobre las variables empresariales e identificar cuáles son las condiciones que favorecen el éxito de las F&A.
